It takes a long time to heat up for the plastic thread to go through , then for it to get stuck . It takes a lot of patience with this product specially when you have a 10 year old waiting for her birthday present to finally arrive and not be able to use because it doesn't work!!

Found the filaments hard to work with and it sometimes got stuck. It's an okay product for the price.

It works pretty well but you have to spend time learning how to use it. It's not like grabbing a pencil and you just start drawing. You need to get familiar with the flow of the plastic. Once you have that down you can create almost anything.

Took some time to figure out. After that, it is a pretty cool pen. Gotta have some patience though. Once you get used to it, it's actually pretty fun.

Works pretty good but needs to be cleaned regularly or it clogs.

Just make sure you have the patience to clean out the color filament after each use.

Nice selection of color to add to the small amount of filaments that came with the Doodler itself.

purchased early for my granddaugther for xmas was told i could not return the item because of the time frame (i ordered it on 10-30-15) unit has not worked, will not reach a proper operating temp to melt the plastic, has jam numerous times absolute junk. I should have stood in the street and thrown a 100 dollar bill away.

I can see how if this worked perfectly it could be awesome. This didn't work perfectly. Clogged immediately, didn't release plastic at an even pace, and I ended up returning it.

So I recently purchased this 3Doodler 2.0 during my travels, and the device has a very sleek design. It looks and feels great when I am using it, but the maintenance cover is gruelling to take on and off (for cleaning plastic blockages). I have made some really neat projects with this so far, including the Eiffel Tower (using 3Doodler's template), and I highly recommend this product for people who love to craft and make 3D models of any kind. It is amazing that we finally have this 3D printing technology available to use in our homes. I foresee a lot of diverse uses for such a product. I also really like that 3Doodler has produced the PLA plastic, which is biodegradable, and made entirely from plant sources. I feel better about using this eco-friendly plastic rather than the industrial ABS plastic. I would have given it a 5 star rating, but I had such a hard time dealing with the maintenance cover that I am giving it 4 stars. Other than that, I'm very pleased with my purchase.

Bought this for my daughter for Christmas . The product broke and I returned it for another one, which also broke. Very disappointed with this product

Bought this for my mother for xmas. After seeing the videos online, i thought it would be a great art toy for her to play with. We found it very difficult to use, and switching the filament required spending 15~20 minutes trying to unclog the nozzle with a needle (not provided). After spending a few hours, it was packed away and will most likely never see the light of day. She says "it's still a premature product" and that it has a lot to improve before being practical.

My daughter was so exited waiting for this to come in the mail and now shes sad and uninterested after an hour of frustration. I tried to help but to my surprise this is basically just a plastic version of a hot glue gun. The problem is that ours would keep getting jammed and only after fighting with it could you get it to work again. I returned it, and now I'm over it. I know this is a some what vague and short review but I'm not putting anymore energy into this product. On the plus side sipping was fast and returning in-store was easy.

I have done amazing project with this. I have no idea why people don't put good reviews but they may just don't know what they are doing with it. You can go and print out some pages for any design. You may need to get used to it before getting it. So say you are the bomdotcom ant using hot glue guns then this product is amazing! If u aren't the bomdotcom then you may wanna be the bomdotcom. I would recommend this to everybody I know!!

The doodler does not work. I have wanted this for two years and I watched all the tutorials and it looked so easy. However it is not! For me the plastic did not extrude so I had to return it.

I ended up returning the pen twice and neither worked. I would have to give up and go with another brand.
