I really enjoy this drone, although the compatible GoPro cost more than the drone. I give it four stars because I had to spend more to modify the GPS to be more reliable, the previous mentioned cost of adding GoPro, and concern over future support. I ended up getting a DJI Mavic Pro because I really enjoyed this 3DR Solo but wanted better portability. Even so I recommend this drone as it has a strong feature set and is a good beginner setup as priced.

Drone was quick to charge and the instructions where a breeze. Took it out on a pretty windy day and it flew great. Love the gimbal set up and look forward to getting some great clips. The case is sturdy and over all very pleased with the price I paid and the quality of the unit.

This thing has been awesome. Only problem is I am now addicted to drones.

My first drone and at this price I could not resist. Perfect match if you already own a GoPro camera. Easy to setup and operate. I bought combo pack with 3DR backpack, compact and space for extra batteries. Recommend getting extra batteries.

Easy to use multirotor with pretty good build quality. Pretty easy to fly and everything seemed to work correctly. Dinged it one star for only being compatible with the Hero4 series which is discontinued, but I found a refurb for a decent price. Documentation is somewhat lacking, but if you do enough web searching the information can be found.

Hands down the best drone for GoPro. Works great! Very easy to fly and it's great for beginners or pros. Highly recommend 3DR products.

This is the greatest package available for professional cinema straight out of the box! Amazingly intuitive software coupled with the gimbal and GoPro will have your shots looking like a true Hollywood production.

This drone is by far one of the best I have ever used . I thought about getting a DJI phantom 4 but I decided to save money and take a chance on this . It is very stable when flying and has a very interactive app

So this is my third Solo I have purchased from Best buy. This drone is awesome. For beginners, this drone uses gps stability to stay put. For intermediate users, this drone will let you plan flight routes control the camera vertically and use faster flight modes. For the mid range advanced operator, this drone will let you go into full acrobatic mode, flips, loops and rolls are only a control input away. When you do purchase a solo I suggest you grab four or five batteries so you can have a full day of fun in the sun. I just took one of the Solo drones to film vehicles playing in the sand dunes of California and my Amphicar playing in the Colorado River system in California and Arizona.

I have a gopro hero 4 and for the price so I bought 3dr solo to take the advantage of its smart shot and cable cam capabilities. This drone is an excellent product for these capabilitites compare to phantom 4 / typhoon h/ and mavic pro drones which I have currently owned all of them. If someone is looking for all the safety features such as object avoidance, active tracking... then this is not a perfect fit. However, as a photographer, I would want to take perfect shots with my action camera so this 3dr solo is a plus in my drone library.

I love this Drone. It performs way better than expected. A lot of bad comments in the web but they are old and prior to the gumball to be available, now under 300 USD, this drone is a steal!

Everything works as advertised and I am amazed by the smart shots. I get professional footage every time. I highly recommend the Solo.

The drone is a blast . I let my 11 yr old fly with no problem but if you set to fast settings it can compete with high end drones.

Wish battery life was longer than 20 minutes. We use it every weekend, but get limited time with it. Still it's fun. Guess I'll have to wait for batteries to go on sale.

Great item love the drone never really had a different type, only issue is I paid 1100$ for my drone alone. A few weeks ago they were going for 300$ with a gimbal!!!! That to me is completely bs but hey still snagged another for the price I paid 200$ for the gimbal alone

The 3DR Solo is really a good drone and even if this is your first one, if you follow the instructions then you will not crash it - if you don't try to race it - :>)

The Solo drone was originally $1000 because of changes at 3D robotics, they are not making it retail anymore. This is why the prices on it are so amazing right now.

Researched drones for a long time. This one is for sure a great drone for beginners just starting to get into it. And for that amazing bundle price, why not?
