Simple to intall and a must for great, smooth videos. You can easily controll it from the app with the controller and enhance the video eperience by tilting the camera up and downs. With the gimbal, even in the wind, shots are smooth.

If you're going to fly the Solo as a camera platform, the stock, hard mount isn't good enough for what most would want. You want the picture stabilized and this gimbal does a great job. Just be aware that if you crash with this, the gimbal is usually the first thing to be damaged. With them under eighty dollars now, it might be a good idea to have a spare on hand. Installation is relatively straightforward but will require about 10 minutes of work if you've worked on things like this before. Just be sure to connect BOTH connectors that are required so you don't have to take it back apart later like I did... Additionally, when installing, try to keep the stiff HDMI wire away from any part of the gimbal to avoid extra vibrations.

3Dr is doing a great job about making sure you know how to use their products and setting up this gimble was a breeze. I looked over the instructions that came in the box and even checked out their video showing you how to install this that comes with the solo app just to make sure I got the info and got it on and working right away.

This gimbal will give you amazing stability and I highly suggest this to any owner of it. Recent firmware updates have vastly improved the interaction between the onboard computer, and I'm assuming it will only get better!

I got this gimbal so I can have more control of my camera. Taking it out of the box and putting it on the drone only took about 5 minutes and I was ready to go. This gimbal operates so smooth it is crazy. When swaying the drones back and forth my Gopro still takes awesome pics and you have to idea the drone is even moving. It keeps the camera very still regardless of flying style. The ability to move the camera up and down is perfect to get those amazing shots and at a pretty good price.

I got this gimbal with a package deal offered by Best Buy.When you couple this gimbal to drone you will be able to record extremely smooth video no matter the weather or how aggressively you fly the drone. It's like having an airborne tripod! I needed to install it myself. The directions were pretty easy to follow. I also watched a video on the internet that was produced by the manufacturer. It took all of five minute.

If the heading of my review doesn't say it enough already...I CAN'T BELIEVE IT'S FINALLY HERE! It feels like I've been waiting for so long to get my Solo Gimbal. I immediately installed it to my Solo Smart Drone when I got home from the store. The gimbal is fantastic! So happy to finally use the gimbal that was specially designed alongside the GoPro team. Functionality 10/10

This product completely changed the way I use my SOLO. It give great angles and more photo and video options than I use to have. Easy to install and operate.

Setup was easy. This is a great upgrade to the 3dr Solo. Smooth as silk as long as you follow 3dr's recommendation on setup and operations.

The gimbal came with the bundle. I could really tell a difference in video quality smoothness with the gimbal versus with out. Not very hard to install and it worked the first try. Only warning is for full functionality I think you need the gopro hero 4 black. I have the gopro hero 3 silver and was disappointed that it wasn't fully compatible.

The gimbal,which essential for aerial photography works like a champ. Easy to mount camera and controls very well.

After getting the 3dr gimble I couldn't wait to install it but didn't because my gopro plus wouldn't fit. So I flew without it. Video was all over the place and messy. Finally got the gopro and wow. Easy gimble install.. Real easy...as simple as plun n play. Smooth operation and vids are turning out like a pro

This little gimbal is a requirement for Solo if you plan to produce any usable video footage from your Solo/GoPro system. Works well and produced stable video footage. Easy to install and connect to the Solo. So far, no problems.

Must have if you want quality video. I get really smooth footage.
