It work just like it say you will need it to move your camera up and down

The Gimble does not face center it is cocked to the side a little bit. Might just be from the hdmi cable under the gimble. I've tried to install it about 4 times and still the same. Other then that it's great to have the moment with the GoPro. Has any body else had the same. Let me know if you have a fix for this.

This was included with the purchase of the 3DR Solo drone. I am not sure why as the drone came with one already installed. n extra battery or props wold have been better as now I an item that I have no use for and can not get rid of because the market is saturated with them currently.

The gimbal works well on the Solo drone and is easy to install.

this gimbal is a great addition to your 3dr drone. it does its job perfectly. However, the gimbal is somewhat difficult to install as the wires inside the drone get in the way. If there was better control of the wires this would be a 5 star

I purchased this gimbal for around 40 bucks after crashing my solo into a tree while flying at night. It's not the greatest however if you take care with steering inputs on the controller you can get some pretty amazing results.

Somehow by all the planets lined up and I received my solo gimbal 30 days before they (direct from 3DR) said I would have it. This thing is rock solid and makes taking pictures and video really easy. You can start/stop video from the app. My GoPro3+ fits perfectly and functions normally. It is slightly difficult to change out the old mount and put the new gimbal on. Just be super cautious and use kid gloves as not to break anything. The three screws have loctite on them so they will be a little difficult to remove and put back in. Be sure your app, solo, and controller are updated before adding the gimbal. I am extremely happy with the video quality with the gimbal. Also, I have a review for the solo drone. Look for review under that product.

Unfortunately it took 3 exchanges to get a working model. I believe that this is a 3DR problem and not a Best Buy problem. BB exchanged it each time without any questions, Awesome customer service.

Failed after first flight , this part is not functioning the way it was advertised !!!! The problem am outside the state Nd will pass the return timeframe

Got this in a package deal with my solo purchase form best buy. I would highly recommend getting this gimbal if you own the 3DR solo. It adds great depth to the drone but buy it when it's on sale.
