I have bought 3 of these. They last around 18 minutes and take about 2 hours to charge. Great price for $49.99

Flying is too much fun! You need to have spare batteries to keep on enjoying the hobby. I wish Best Buy had more available, I'd buy them! The life is good. They have a great power meter built in. Just press a button to see how much life is left. They do slowly discharge when sitting for a long time. If you're putting your Solo away for a long period look up good practices for storing li-po batteries and they'll last for you.

I purchased my solo 3dr on the recommendation from a friend that has many different R/C Planes & copters. The manufacturer claims around 25 minutes of flight time. I now have 6 batteries and the average flight time is a little better than 17 minutes. I am using the gimbal but not the extra lights. I caught the batteries on sale for $50 each which seems like a great deal. I highly recommend picking up a few.

This is the only battery you can get fro the 3DR, so it's a case of "You have to have it!" You only get about 18 - 20 mins, so make sure you have enough juice to get it home without falling from the sky. It appears all drones have about the same duration. The 3DR states it can carry a 1lb payload, I'd prefer a larger battery or secondary battery that could "piggy-back" onto the original, or somehow sling an extra battery underneath. 4 stars are for not giving 25 mins as suggested. If you see one, better get it as it appears it's discontinued??

Bought multiple batteries and they all hold the same charge. About 20 minutes of air time when filming. Just wish there were more out there!

$150 is pricey, but the battery is smart and will charge and discharge better and safer. Hope they will come down in price, but a great design and good operational battery.

Easy to charge and it lasts 30 minutes. You definitely want a few of these on hand!

Obviously you need one if you expect to be out and flying for any amount of time, one extra battery doubles the fly time you have (~15-20min, depending on activity). I just don't understand the "value" add on a battery. This is true of both DJI and 3DR. Hopefully it's not just a pure money grab as anyone that knows a little bit of electronics can easily size their own battery, and like yours truly, already have an arsenal and better equipped charger(s). One star off for proprietary battery modules but on sale, it's almost reasonable.

Has a led display that shows battery level. Get more like 16 mins flight with the gimbal installed. Takes about an hour to recharge.

Since the solo only ships with one battery I thought I would buy another one. Works just like the one that came with my solo, flight time 20 to 25 minutes.

There nothing like an oem battery, great flying time I would definitely recommend it.... I just wish it was a little bigger

At the discounted price I paid for this item, it feels like I stole it. Was just what i needed to get about 1hr of filming when added to my 2 other batteries. You will only get about 20 minutes of flight time per battery. I should have purchased more. I would definitely recommend this battery. Love the fact that it has an indicator built into the battery.

After getting my 3DR Solo along with an extra battery I thought that would be enough - NOPE, there's never enough flight time - so I got 4 more batteries - have 20+ flights on all of them, and All are still running strong. I get about 6 batteries to one controller charge (and by then I'm done flying - tired) Get more - if you don't already have 4-5

I like the smart function of this battery. This is a good first battery for the Solo, I'm sure bigger ones will soon be available. I'm not crazy about the push button power button I wish it was a different switch.

I have 2 batteries now with my drone. I get about 15 to 20 min of flying time depending on my style of flight. If I want to just take pictures and fly slow I can get about 20 min. When I want to fly fast for fun, I will get about 15 min of flight time. But then I just hit return to home and put other battery in and ready to go again. Great battery

Has lights on it with white dots that tell you how full of a charge it has. These things lost life kinda quickly, over a few recharges and flights, however. So only four stars. However nice design sitting right on the top of your drone for easy on and off. Also the charge indicators are a great feature. If these ever go on sale for below 40$, scoop atleast one up. I've seen them go from below 40$ to 80 back to 40 again on Best Buy's site.
