For what they are, they all seem overpriced, but this one is no worse than any of the other powered versions. I have not had an issue yet. My only minor complaint is that it is so light that the cables push it into whatever position they want. I can't get it to sit neatly on the stand. It is not a big deal.

Works as expected...purchased this product so I can easily connect and disconnect my laptop for easy movie viewing. Also easy for me to switch back on forth from DVD player and Cable TV.
