Solves problem of having to unplug HDMI cables between computer and gaming systems. Bought for Grandson and I'm sure it has kept him from breaking the cables and anything around his gaming corner of the room. If you don't have extra HDMI cables, be sure to purchase one at the same time of the switch purchase.

Purchased this item to allow inputs from three game consoles without plugging and unplugging HDMI cables. It worked intermittently for a few tries and then quit altogether.

A little pricey but seems to do what I need........

I definitely needed something like this and I'm glad I found this. I was a little disappointed at the price. Sometimes when you turn the TV on it won't recognize your HD cable and you have to push the button several times for it to detect it. That's a little bit of a hassle.

It seems to work pretty good but its harder than heck to work through all the directions especially with multiple types of videos needing to be converted. Also, DIVX format needs converting....lots of little things for the 40+ crowd that makes this a little more difficult.

I am hopeful that the first one dying was a fluke.

I needed to but this product because I didn't have enough HDMI ports on the TV. I did its job. I would only buy this product if reasonable price. It used to cost the same a a full receiver. You'd get more from a full receiver, so what the price. Otherwise, it works.

The once in a while that it works it's great, however it seldom works. No picture with sound. Or picture with no sound. Sometimes just to mix it up no picture or sound. Avoid this thing 30 something bucks wasted.

Is supposed to auto find the active HDMI . However after it has been powered down and restarted it seems to lose active port. Need to unpluge the DC power and reconnect it to force a reset. for it work properly. Effect of DC power interruption not discussed in manual.

I bought this to connect multiple video game consoles and works like a charm. You can easily change between ports and it will auto switch to whatever source has power if you only have one at a time so you do not even have to touch it. I have not experienced any game lag at all playing COD Ghost on Xbox One.

I have a BlueRay + Comcast DVR + Apple TV all using this switch. The color is excellent [Samsung LED TV] with no drop-outs. Audio is excellent and surround sound works perfectly. It is annoying that the switch has to be toggled between inputs to get the output signal to work. For example if you turn on the TV [main output] then turn on the Blue Ray [input 3] you have to select input 1 or 2 on the remote and then back to 3 before it works at the output. This is a step i find difficult to understand. it seems if you have something powered on input 3 and it is selected the signal should work. Very off behavior. this is not a deal breaker but something to be aware of. Build quality looks good.

Wouldn't you know that I upgrade to a blu Ray using HDMI hook up and I couldn't use my player with my cable at the same time until I spoke to someone at bestbuy, they solve my issue and saved me money. An experience that was pleasant
