We wanted to keep our old Wii with the new Wii U and with the suggestion from the wonderful service dept and geek squad service at Best Buy this product was exactly what we needed.

Works great, when it works.

My rocketfish HDMI switch worked great, when it actually worked. I learned after exchanging the device twice, thinking it was defective, that it was not compatible with my Xbox 360 (even though there is a picture that oddly resembles one on the box) or my uverse cable box, which basically made this useless to me.

Functional but noisy

I thought I noticed a softening of the picture when I first hooked my Tivo up to the switch, but wrote it off to imagination. However, when I plugged my laptop in to the front input, there was so much noise that it could not be ignored. Amazon Prime streaming suffered from speckling noise and also blue horizontal streaks, and the audio would drop out a lot - maybe 40% of the time, overall. Removing the switch and plugging the laptop right into my receiver worked fine. I almost gave it just the one star but I figured that since it did OK with the first two ports, I couldn't say it was complete garbage.

Switching to input 2 from input 1 only produces static on my television. Yet when I switch from input 3 or 4 to input 2 it works just fine. I'm bemused such a defective product would be allowed to ship. I'll obviously be returning it and looking for a better product elsewhere.

I returned this after a couple of weeks. It comes with a remote, but the remote didn't work properly.

I'd give it zero stars if it'd let me. With everything set up, the image was pixelated with a green haze across the entire picture. I actually returned it and bought another... same result.

We needed this switch for the TV and player we have, so this one serves its purpose.

Bought and returned. Picture, no picture. Sound, no sound and a combination of both. I feel the issue may be compatibility issues between the hdmi changer and the cable box but after reading rocketfish tech forum I am not about to continue the "startup" steps each and every time I need to use the device in order to make it function: unplug power, hdmi cables and reinstall and start in sequence.

It works annoyingly well...

The device requires a plug in, which is annoying if you are limited on outlets. Also you have to push the power button on it to get it to work, alas pushing the power button also changes the input. For example, I was watching cable on input 1, turn off my TV. Later I turn on my TV and want to watch cable again. I have to get up push the power button on the device which also switches to input 2. So now I have to cycle thru all 4 inputs to get it back to input 1. Lastly if I'm watching something on any input and another device connected to another input is turned on, it automatically switches to that device. So if I'm watching cable and my two year old turns on the DVD player it automatically switches to the DVD player. Other than that it works fine.

The salesmen told me it would hook into an AV amp. When I got it home, the direction said not to hook it up going into the amp but coming out. Lucky, I found another use for or I would have returned it.

Do NOT buy this switch!

Used for switching between kids gaming systems. Work for a few days, then began intermittent flicker. Now nothing - all components in the system work flawlessly until this terrible switch is put in the mix. Frankly, I am at a loss as to where all these positive reviews came from - if you go to Rocketfish forums you will see numerous complaints with a similar issue.

Bought this a couple of months ago. Suddenly today, it stopped working-it won't even turn on now. Poor quality, cheaply built, don't waste your money

Bought this Item because we have a plasma flat screen that has only one HDMI input. This was the only product I found available to "add" more than one electronic device that requires an HDMI connection. Cost was at $100. What they don't tell you is that you have to keep turning it on & off after you switch from your satelite to you DVD player. It's a pain in the @$$, but still cheaper than a new flat screen.
