    Now that I have gotten a PS4 and Xbox One, we had run out of HDMI ports on both of our TVs in the living room because of all the other consoles we had as well. The selector works great, just plug it into an open spot then plug everything else into it freeing up ports elsewhere. Weird it has a port on the front as well but not really a big deal.
