Let me start by saying that this is installed in a high school classroom: acoustics may not be the best as there are a lot of reflective surfaces, and it is comparatively large to most home environments. Video playback: no complaints with regular or blu-ray disks. The images are fine, no noticeable artifacts. Sound: from movies is actually quite good, and the surround system has good separation. On audio disks, or anything through the aux port, not so good. Music sounds tinny and can only be streamed through the front side speakers (left/right) and sub-woofer. There are some nice equalizer type controls for making adjustments adjustments, but they seem to have minimal effect. Perhaps I'm spoiled since my home system costs close to 20 times this system, and again the environment is likely not what it was designed for, but in my classroom, it is adequate.

I originally purchased a different home theater audio system for use in my home. After I started setting it up, I realized that it wasn't anywhere near the quality I needed to make music & movies sounds clear & have a loudness in my home, so I went to Best Buy & got this system FOR THE SAME PRICE! It's not overly powerful, so I don't have to worry about blowing the speakers, & best of all it makes everything I play sound crystal clear & defined. I love it!

We original had purchased this to install in our 5th wheel trailer to replace the very cheap system that came with the trailer. After installing it and listening to it we were very pleased with the sound quality. However, right after we bought the Samsung system we sold the trailer so we ended up returning the system to Best Buy within a few days after purchase. I would still consider purchasing this product for our home in the near future.

Nice sounds with movies specially music....very easy set up....does not connect wirelessly to net....

This is our first surround sound system and we love it. We did our research on it and read reviews on this product before we purchased and everyone is satisfied. The only thing is that we had to figure out on our own that in order to get surround sound watching cable TV you will NEED a digital optical cord that will plug in directly to your cable box from your 3D bluray player. Otherwise the HDMI cord you NEED which is stated everywhere on the box and manual along with the sales associate reminding us, you won't have a problem getting surround sound watching dvds/bluray! You will have long wires that will run from each speaker to your bluray, so it will be a lot to connect but from my understanding there is no such thing of a complete wireless surround sound system yet. The good thing is they are hardly noticeable. It is all worth it cause it definitely makes watching movies more fun!

Overall, great sound and easy instructions to install. Its 500 watts and its pretty loud.

I had to get a new home theater system after a power surge fried my 5-year old Panasonic. The price was awesome, and the sales associate was the best! I'm very happy with this system. My only complaint is that it's more difficult to use than my Panasonic was. The remote control is VERY difficult to figure out, which is complicated by the fact that the user manual isn't easily understandable.

this theater system sound pretty good. the only issue i had with it, is that it dose not have built in wifi for the blue ray player, (A best buy employee told me it dose), so you will need to keep the blue ray hook up by ethernet cable for the apps on the blue ray to work. other then that it's a decent buy and sound.

It is a good product. Sound quality is decent for my rental apartment. All functions work good. Product is visually appealing. Functions are easy.

The home theater is easy to hook up and works perfectly with the Samsung TV. The internet isn't really needed because the TV already has it. Good sound but could use more bass.

Just the right size for my smallish living area. Love it. Breeeze to set up. Great sound for such a competitively-priced system. One thing that has surprised me since buying it is that I really didn't follow directions at first to keep the middle three speakers at the exact same height. I did a little re-arranging eventually and set them up exactly as directed and it made a noticeable difference!

I only gave this a less than perfect rating because the speakers take a little while to get set up, with the instructions not always being all the helpful. In addition, the settings can be a pain in the rear to figure out as well. I suppose that's what the manual is for. Everything is great and in working order. You get exactly what you pay for.

System perfect for the space I use it in. Compact size, great sound and cool features especially with the Wi-Fi connection. I was able to eliminate the Roku.

This system was very easy to install. The sound quality was incredible. As a result of too many loud concerts and headphones at max volume for years, my hearing isn't what it once was. One of my biggest struggles is hearing voices clearly in movies and TV shows. I found it very easy to tune this system to enhance the voices. I can finally watch movies and TV shows without having to rewind, ask someone what did they say, or my least favorite having to turn on the closed captioning. There are systems that are far superior to this one. There are ones that are inferior. Considering the cost of this system I really feel like I got more than I paid for. The only negative with this system is the wires. The room where I installed this, hiding the wires wasn't a challenge. I strongly recommend considering how you will route the wires before purchasing this or any wired system.
