I have purchased the Geek Squad Product replacement plans on almost everyone I have bought from Best Buy over the past 5 years. One of the most hassle-free plans out there. I just bring it in and they replace with the same product and they allow me to purchase another one. In this day and age, equipment just isn't made as good as it used to be and I don't have to mess with waiting for items to be repaired or any complicated return process. Just bring it in and if they have the same item in stock, they will replace the defective item. When they have not had the same item in stock, I have been able to upgrade the item and pay the difference if the price is higher, which I don't mind either. This is a great deal!

I got my refrigerator replaced once and was happy. Depending on the price, I would stick with major appliances and electronics. If the item is like $200, and the protection plan is $39 don't waste your money .unless

I always try to take advantage of the Geek Squad product replacement plan. I like being able to return an item if it goes bad without the hassle of shiping it off to someplace . Over the years I had to replace several products after they had gone bad and it was no problem to go into the nearest best buy and at times get the next generation of a product out if the model that I was using was no longer availble. So yes for me paying a few extra dollars was worth it. The only time that I might not pay for the extra protection is when the coverage that I am trying to get is close to a hundred dollars for the item, such as some tablets that I have bought, however that might depend on the item because I got coverage on a washing machine and a dryer at one time and although I may not have to ever use it at least I know that I am covered and for me that makes it worth the peace of mind that I will get. So in conclusion you have to way the risk that you are willing to take and for me it has worked out well over the years and I have no complaints.

Always, always, always get the protection plan on big-ticket equipment. It’s paid off on my microwaves (2), vacuum cleaners (2) and routers (1). It’s amazing how quickly things can die, like my router today (two months outside the one-year manufacturer warranty). On something $499, I do not want to have to re-purchase that twice in a year and two months if I can avoid it.

Previously purchased their plans on other items. Bougjt a 6 yrs plan and lpw and begold 4 yrs and 8 month in to warranry and item failed. Fix wasnt possible so a totally new system was provided at no cost.

I have purchased several high priced routers to create an access point for my home. Worrying about one or more routers failing has been on my mind. But knowing this protection plan is in place really puts my mind at ease. I don't have to buy plans for each item, as they are automatically added when I buy them. Very convenient!

I have always been very happy with the geek squad product replacement plans. I have always purchased them everytime I make a purchase of any electronic item. Its seemless. I have had to use it only twice but it is totally worth it!
