    I had one decent interaction through the whole experience. I ordered the unit online for pick up, scheduled a service. The only good interaction occurred when a GS Technician called to tell me they were missing a part and apologized that I would need to get it elsewhere. Went over the unit and the expectations, continued to my appointment. I met with another technician who was the opposite of the definition of customer service. Explained that I purchased the unit I did so that I can have Apple Car Play and the XM radio. I dropped off my car and left. Roughly an hour later the technician calls and asks how important the XM was to me, as it turned out there was more parts needed that were not ordered, and not available. Explained he already started the process of the install and suggested I just let him out the stereo in and come back. Absolutely not, I wanted it all done in one day. So I had to push this appointment out another week and half waiting on the parts. Day comes for install, dropped my car off hours before the appointment time and waited. When they called and said the car was ready I went to get it, and left. Got home late and got a good look at the unit the next day. Overall not a bad unit, pleased with it. What I’m not please with is the placement of the usb. You have “trained staff” and I got a new cut in my vehicle that was unnecessary for its location, and it’s going to cause issues down the road for the wire. I’ll attach the photos. Also, I found what looks like a mount left out of the install, why? Hours of having the vehicle, and being the second time you were working on it. Why not use a flush Mount to the dash? Cut the hole below the rubber mat in the back of the bin to prevent damage? Use the 12v existing outlet space and replace it with a Apple Play usb? Use the factory usb? WHY NOT CALL YOUR CUSTOMER TO DISCUSS THIS PRIOR TO CUTTING INTO THIER INTERIOR SO THEY CAN DECIDE WHERE TO RUN IT FROM!

    I still have that and all of the other things I purchased because they wouldn’t return it because I was two days past the 15 day return limit and all of the stuff is still in my person because they could not install it!     Southaven, Mississippi Location

    Don’t have anything installed in your vehicle at the Southaven, Mississippi Best Buy location! I had a multimedia player and a backup camera installed in my car there in January 2024. I walked in and the guy, Paul, told me to sign in two places on the invoice as soon as I got there, before he even looked at my car. About 20 minutes later, he called me to tell me that the air conditioner/heater control panel could possibly crack due to my car being over 10 years old. I went back to the installation bay, and he showed me the part that we would need to order if mine did crack. My husband and I agreed that we would order a new part and Paul said he would install it for us. After the 3 hour and 15-minute installation, Paul came to get me. He had moved my car out of the lighted bay and into the dark outside. He had already put the invoice in the back of my car with the empty boxes from the things he installed. I was never handed the invoice to check for accuracy. Paul showed me very basic controls on the new radio which he had set it up for Android, even though I have an iPhone. The next morning, I went out to my car and immediately noticed that Paul had broken not only the bottom part of the panel where the AC controls were, but also the top near the vents and tried to cover it up with black putty. He also hot glued pieces of the air conditioner/heater control panel area back in place. Then, I looked at the invoice that Paul put in the back of my car and noticed all the things he had checked and wrote after the installation. I never once acknowledged any prior cracks or prior brittleness and was not asked. Paul also check-marked accessories that he worked on that are not even on my car. The backup camera was not checked for accuracy, as it was pointed up approximately 45 degrees above the sight line. And to top it all off, there was a hole burned into the backseat of my car from, I assume, the hot glue gun.

    This item shows up when i did a search for dvd player car stereo. Unfortunately I had no choice but to install this in my toy hauler because I'm leaving to go camping this week and there's no time to return it and get a replacement. I had to install this so we at least have music while camping.. DVD capability was the only filter i selected in my search and expected this to have video output since it showed up in the search with that filter.. ill have to bring our home dvd player so our kida cab movies if they want.

    I bought the Geek Squad plan thinking it would give me peace of mind. First for my JBL speaker, which went out—and they completely failed to help. Then I figured I’d at least have it for my new Pioneer stereo, but now I realize the whole thing is a scam. Nothing gets fixed. They just give you the runaround, waste your time, and then send your broken stuff right back. I wish I never bought this plan. Don’t fall for it like I did.

    Beyond disappointing. Was sold on this plan and the coverage is majorly disappointing. Item broke 10 months after purchase. Had to make appt for 4 weeks out for it to be looked at... now they have to send it away for 4 weeks. Determine if it needs to be fixed or replaced, then will have to make another appointment that I assume will be another 4-6 weeks out to get it reinstalled. So, of this item I purchased I will be without it for almost 3 months. I called, manager would not consider a better solution. I have no reason to ever shop in this store again. Placed the purchase locally to a better experience and it was terrible. 0/10

    Be prepared to spend triple their quote just to be seen for an appointment, or several hundred dollars if they have the parts and do the work, then hold your car hostage for a massive installation bill. Scam

    this is the second product I had installed by Best Buy. The tech lacks experience because as the second product Ive brought in why am I on my 4th visit. If you advertise "Professional Install" it should be done right the first time and I "Not an Expert" should not be pointing out faults with techs work.

    I bought a nice boss 10 inch head unit, with a kicker amp, two very nice 8x10 kicker speakers in Oxnard best buy. Had to wait 8 weeks for instal in porter ranch. I tried myself but got no sound. Showed for my appt. To instal & after 5 hours, I paid $200 for the instal , they got no sound. After telling a few management people what my needs were at that point they ordered me a Sony unit, that they installed a week later. However, when they gave my car after instal, the cable from the sterio to the amp, was broken off in the amp, the sub was not hooked up & two speakers they were going to connect the did not. Where I made my mistake was paying up front, before I figured out what they didn't do. If I had the ethics to charge people for a job I couldn't do, I couldn't. But best buy can. I had to spend more money and go another place. I m sure not all Best buys are like I this, but the install dept sucks, never again.

    They installed an Alpine head unit in my Nissan Versa note and it has not worked right since. I have contacted alpine on 3 occasions due to issues with the unit not working right all 3 times they said it was due to the install being wired wrong. I tried working it out with my bestbuy first then tried to go through online chat but they really didn’t care and told me take it in so they can charge me to fix it, so much for free install. Still don’t work right to this day.

    Said install included, but store refused to install the radio because I have a motorhome. The size of the unit scared them. Then said if it did not fit inside their shop they could not install it. I don't understand because there is more room to move about to install.

    I had a bad experience with the manager he told to come back and get my car and money all be cause I said they was not doing business right I didn’t yell or anything I said it calm. I have stage 4 cancer so I ask them to make sure I have everything I need to install my car audio I had to go back and forward 5 times buying more wires I had just did chemo so I was beat that’s what I ask them every time is this all I need so I didn’t have to come back so the 5th time I said this is crazy I’m tired why are you running me like this you do this everyday you should know what I need the first day. I spent like $830 he took it personal and lost the $830 who is in business not to make money that’s crazy.

    Ive got this stereo from best buy in September and now it want to freeze up on me only 3 mths now having problems its not what I wanted its gets hot after playing so long it freezing up cant change nothing change channels or nothing ive got an app lets see how they handle it

    I purchased this to have car audio installed from best buy and scheduled installation. After spending over $1200 on equipment, I happened to get to persist i have a consultation with the install tech. Best Buy employee who helped me got everything wrong not compatible with my car. That didnt change the installation appointment. Bought everything again. My appointment was cancelled 3 times in 3 months. I asked to speak to the manager who tells me just return everything. WOW. I waited 3 months for install, and lots of my time getting the right speakers, amps, wire kits, etc.

    Total ripoff and misleading warranty

    Radio died 2 years 3 months later. 2 year Protection plan that was supposed to 'extend' the manufacturers warranty (which is 30 days everything, then 3 years parts) says it's also dead (as of 3 months ago). Total rip off. And possibly the problem is bad installation (loose wires. It's not a fuse, checked that, but can't help but think vibration may have loosened wires, but unable to find out without spending more money.) And I won't be spending it on Geek Squad or BestBuy.

    I bought the extended warranty for a Pioneer car stereo but when it broke, I was told there was no one in my city who could fix it or address the problem because the auto audio technician had been laid off due to the pandemic.

    Protection to be used once and repurchase again

    I wouldnt recommend long time protection with best buy. If you pay for two years and you need replacement or fixing they will fix it only once after that you will have to repurchase protection. Just buy for a year less of a price. Save your money. I had gotten coverage for 2 years thinking they will fix it for two years regardless of how many times it messes up.

    I bought a kicker amp at Best buy and the sales person talk me into purchasing a 4 year extended warranty. I got home and was reading the manual to my kicker app and it says a free 4 year warranty if I buy a kicker amp kit to go along with it the Best buy sales person had no idea what he was doing or any solid information to help me in any way very disappointed in my experience with Best buy

The protection from Kicker and the protection from Geek Squad are two very different things.     The protection started out all right when I had an issue it got replaced..I had a subwoofer and it broke but the store said they stopped selling my exact brand of speaker and eventually they wouldn't honor the protection because they had a different kind of sub, same brand..this was 2 years in to a 4 year plan... extremely mad and disappointed they wouldn't even work with me
