I am using these as front speaker in a 5.1 system. They have expanded the highs and lows from the 3" 2-way BICs they replaced but the are a little weak in the MIDs. But they fit well in my system because I have a strong center and a 12" SUB. Great value at the $30 sale price but you could do better if you are spending more than $60.

Bought these first because of the size they fit nicely on top of a wall of book cases, second for price, the bedroom make-over was in danger of going over budget, and we were rewarded with great sound! Powered by my Onyko, I am more than pleased with the sound.

I am impressed. These are the core of my home entertainment system. The sound is quite rich as part of my surround system. I could have paid more, but these speakers are excellent at any price.

Bought these. Didn't hook them up as I did not realize that speaker wires were not included. Returned product and used something else

These speakers are good average speakers for the price. I think i will go with a better quality next time, but for now they work good.

I purchased these to hook up to my 100 Watt Sony STRDH130 two-channel receiver for playing music, TV, and movies. I am already thinking about getting another set to use in my dining room. The speakers provide full, clean sound that is exponentially better than the speakers on any flat panel TV that I have heard. They are plenty loud enough for my family room which is about 15' x 25'. Both TV/movie dialogue and music sound great. My receiver supports two sets of speakers so I have the other output connected to a set of in-ceiling speakers in the same room. The Insignia bookshelf speakers are positioned on my tv stand, and the in-ceiling speakers are above/behind the sofa, producing a nice surround sound effect. Bottom line, these are good quality, value-priced speakers that will make an awesome upgrade to your TV speakers, and provide great sound for enjoying music. These speakers provide decent bass for their size, but If you are looking for really strong bass, you will probably want a sub.

If you're just looking to replace some old speakers like I was, these will do just fine....they're nothing amazing or special but they do their job.

bought these speakers to add more bass to my pioneer surround sound system and they do the job very well.

They worked perfectly for the space we had and were good quality for the price. Best Buy is always our first choice for electronics.

I ended up returning them because the connection on the back was not what I needrd so I can't comment on the sound quality.

These make great rear speakers for Surround Sound and good Mid Speakers for Dolby 7
