Balance of dialogue and bass is very good. Works best watching a bluray. Streaming works well,not as good as a Roku, but I haven't found another device that works as smooth as Roku premiere. The only reason I gave this system 4 stars is because a flaw I have found with the audio output using the optical Tv output, there seems to be an occasional change in sound periodically when watching a movie as if the system is trying to switch sound modes or something in this mode only.... other than that this is an excellent system for the money
