Excellent sound. Easy set up. Great blu ray player. Easily connected to Spectrum. With very good price at Best Buy.

We replaced a Bose Life Style sytsem that we paid nearly $2000 for. We love this system. Very simple to set up and sounds great. Plays well with the new Sharp Aquos 70" tv we purchased and with Direct TV. We aren't real picky about sound systems but this one meets our needs. Easily connects via bluetooth to my Ipad and my Samsung Galaxy Smart phone to stream my music. Haven't figured out the photos, but can use a usb with either the Sony sound system or the Sharp TV.

I wanted to replace the surround sound blu ray player combo for my parents, so something basic and simple. They have a large room and this had decent bass. The unit does not compare to high end gear, but it isn't supposed it. The benefit of WiFi built in for Netflix got bonus points.

I am impressed by the sound from this system. Sometimes I think there is someone talking outside or the doorbell has rung only to realize that the tv did that. This has a wifi connection,a web browser, apps,dvd enhancements, bluetooth, NFC, Sony Sync, the list goes on.....I am totally happy with this purchase.!!!!

Great sound system for the price, easy to use and turns your regular tv to a smart tv with its WI-FI connection, it has everything from pandora to you tube, music, video, movies and more.

This is our first surround speakers, everything's look great and the sound is rich and clear. Very easy to set up. We immediately fall in love with this product. Watching movies now is more exciting like you're in a movie house. Hope it will come with a free pop corn next time.

Altough it has a late startup / shutdown process, the sound you can obtain from a device like this is phenomenal. I've sync it with many bluetooth devices and certainly has a good response. I love the wireless experience it gives me with my iPad mini and Air 2 ... even my Android phone. I am for sure happy with the upgrade I made!

This is our 3rd Sony system. This one is not that great with the TV sound. Used an optical cable hookup, TV does not have HDMI ARC. Bass is just not great, overall sound feels lacking and hollow. Now with a DVD, it is better. There appears to be no sound adjustment other than increasing the relative volume level at the individual speakers or bass module. We got this because we wanted a blueray player and a new sound system, but a simple system like this. We also considered a Yamaha soundbar and a new Blueray player. Our 1st system from some years ago kicked a** but the player finally gave up so our son took it just for the sound. We bought a Sony base plate for our daughter, it sounds great with the TV. For the price and simplicity, it’s OK I guess, just not what I expected from Sony.

I was looking for an easy to use and compact home theater set for my parents. They have speakers built into the wall so they only needed an amplifier and center speaker. The price was fantastic and the system works well. We had to splice the connectors because they use proprietary ends for the amplifier, but it's just standard speaker cable.

I have set up these kinds of systems before so that wasn't too difficult, the sound that comes from these guys is really nice and the combined player and tuner makes it easier to fit inside my cabinet and have less clutter to see from the front.

I picked this sony unit because I recently bought a sony 65" tv and wanted something that was made to work with it and fully use all the features. This does just that. dvd player will do quite a bit and use, ARC, NFC, WIFI, blueray and even go on line without the tv. My one complaint of the dvd is that the display on front it too small and too abreaviated. the "black everything" design that has taken over the industry means you cant see the darn buttons on the front. Speakers are small but good quality. they will not satisfy the freak who needs to have great big wall to wall speaker system to be happy, but they are fine for average people like us.

Like the system a lot, good sound, the woofer is loud and makes the movies sound very good. Only drawback is the connection to the Wi-Fi is slow. I have a Roku 3 and it is a whole lot faster to connect to Netflix than the Sony

I enjoyed my purchase. I installed the surround in my bedroom and personally I think what I purchased was overkill. It sounds amazing much better than the samsung I was planning on getting first. I totally recommend it for the features it has specially bluetooth. Overall great purchase.

I bought this home stereo system at a discounted price since it was returned by another customer. This sound system enhances the overall experience when I watch movies and listen to music. After having it going on two months, I wonder why I never bothered to purchase one sooner. I've always had my audio setup through my stereo and that was how I enjoyed the cinema experience for years. With this Sony system, the sound quality and clearness in sound is unmatched and I would recommend this system to anyone looking to enhance their tv watching experience.

Out of all the sound systems I tested in this price range (under $350) this was the best sounding system by far. The only comparable one was a samsung system. Then that next week, this exact system went on sale so I snagged it right away. For the sound quality alone I would have bought it. Add in the blu-ray player plus the smart capabilities and it was an easy decision. It easily connects to the internet and works well with YouTube (I haven't tried the other sites yet and you need subscriptions to access hulu and netflix, which I do not have). My only complaints: (1) you cannot adjust the subwoofer, which can be pretty booming at times though it's not a big problem and usually the sound is excellent; (2) the remote doesn't have a querty keyboard so searching for items on YouTube, for example, can take awhile. Otherwise I would have given it 5 stars.

This stereo has great sound and is easy to use. For the price, can't be beat.

This system is decent for the price. It's nice for a smaller room and priduces decent sound. Built in apps like netflix are great and easy to use. The one thing I don't like is the hard wired speakers. Each speaker is already wired and the wire ends that go into the unit have connectors on them. This causes an issue for someone who may need longer wired, you have to splice the wires in the middle instead of just using longer wires because one end has a connector and the other is hard wired to the speaker. Overall it's great though.

Easy set up with great sound. Love all the apps that come on the device & the blueray player. Has Bluetooth for easy phone contection but it is unreliable & cuts in and out (this is why I docked it a star) otherwise great player. Wish the speaker were wireless!
