Then, for some reason, the video stopped working on the TV from the Bluray player, audio only being available. After fiddling around randomly with the connections, the video from the Bluray player came back, but the audio from the TV stopped coming through. More random fiddling got it working again, though now we don't know for how long.

I waited until after the Thanksgiving holiday to contact the store about the issues and to avoid the massive influx on people shopping that weekend. By the following weekend the "extended Elite member" 30 day period had already expired. Best Buy was not willing to be of any assistance other than to look-up Sony's phone number for me provide praise for their company and support from them. Very disappointed with Best Buy and their willingness to help a customer.
