Just add the coverage!

I've never bought a warranty for a single thing in my entire life... until now. And? I needed it! When the guys installed my dishwasher the screws ended up digging a groove in my button panel. I was freaking out and really worried there would be no recourse or they would accuse us. They didn't. They sent the guys back to check it out within days. Then they left the old one until my new one arrived! They came back and set it up... good as new. No headache, no fighting, no nothing. Quick and easy. I just bought my washer from BB with the warranty and will do the same with my dryer too! Why use anyone else after having such a good experience.

Geek Squad installed my stove quickly

However, their service sucks big time. I get transferred from one person to another. I set a date for service, they don't show up, even though they indicate via email the appointment is set, AND a phone call that they're going to be there between certain hours. Still a no-show. So beware! I finally had my Frigidaire 27-in wall oven door serviced. Photo is included.

Fullfil Warranty

I got exchanged to a new Range because Factory Warranty exchange by product manufacturer and Geek Squad provided services and answers.

Waste of money

After a year of ownership, the range melted a pot that was on for five minutes, almost causing a fire in the kitchen if my wife wasn't nearby to smell the burning. She quickly removed the pot and in doing so cracked the glass because it was stuck to the bottom of the melting pot. I understand the protection doesn't cover damage, but what happened definitely looks like a defect of the range. To get so hot to melt the bottom of a pot is not normal or safe. But all Best Buy would focus on is the damage and not what was the cause of the damage. They dragged the service out for six weeks. Sending three different third-party techs who all told me the same thing. Have Best Buy replace it. Even they said what happened is not normal or safe. In the end, the last rep I spoke to told me he'd put another claim in, but they most likely will not do anything to help. So I will be ordering a new range from a different company. What this had shown me was how long they would take to help in general even if it wasn't damaged. We wasted hundreds of dollars getting take-out and now I'm out over a thousand dollars on a busted range. There should be some exceptions to the policy if there is proof of damage caused by a defect. The picture shows the piece of the pot still stuck on the range. This was my first and last time ever buying geeksquad protection.

Geek Squad (UN)PROTECTED PLAN
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.HORRIFYING! This is week 3 of Geek Squad and Best Buy's refusal to comply with their own contract. They have scheduled 9 different technicians to come out to "repair" the double oven that I purchased. The first Geek Squad representative cursed at me after I inquired why exactly they sent a technician with no tools to diagnose an issue, then they ordered a broken part, and the technicians admittedly installed the broken part. This installation they also admitted would make the oven highly flammable. Today, the 9th Technician just left after trying to see what was wrong with the double oven. They were so baffled on why Best Buy and Geek Squad just did not replace the double oven after the replacement parts did not work, that they have put the ticket on hold. Geek Squad continues to insist on scheduling other technicians to diagnose this issue in the hopes of running out the time left on the warranty so that they do not have to cover the costs. If you want to spend thousands on legal fees in an attempt to get your $100+ warranty covered, then go ahead and purchase this "protection plan". It is clear the only thing that Best Buy / Geek Squad and AIG Warranty (the warranty carrier) are interested in protecting is any accountability on their end. They use these "protection plans" to line their pockets in the hopes that the customers will never actually use them. Don't believe that you are paying for an endless game of "pass the buck" until your warranty period runs out? See the screenshot images below. Sometimes the technicians show up, sometimes they don't sometimes they leave your house flammable, sometimes they leave you waiting for a 6hr timeframe, other times they come and take a picture of your appliance and tell you that they'll be back. You are left unprotected with the Geek Squad protection plan. They guarantee it.

Good buy

I really like the top shelf used for cooking utensils etc. Super easy to install and it's not heavy... the dishes are never completely dry but that seems to be the standard nowadays...

So glad to have this Warranty for our Samsung Stov

Brought the stove on December 2017 and added the warranty for it. Geek squad replaced it at no charge. :)

Too much work, too little return
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.we rarely have need of these protection plans but, like with any type of insurance, you don't need them.... until you do. Our 2 yo dishwasher broke and so we set up for GS to come out. I was not thrilled that it was two weeks out but ok, nothing to be done. I was less thrilled at the 12 hour window but was told that the night before we would get an email giving us a better time. Still not thrilled because this means that I cannot actually plan anything and have to rearrange my calendar to clear an entire day. Night before comes and no email. It was late so I chose to address it in the morning where I was told that, due to a system error not only was I NOT scheduled, they couldn't schedule me again. I pushed for a sup and was told no, not going to happen. At that moment, surprise surprise, I get a so called courtesy call telling me the same thing. I had no more spoons left to give at that point so I let it go. Hubby gets home and says nope, not acceptable, gets on the phone, gets to a sup who promises that we will get a call in 1-2 hours with an appointment sometime in the next two days. No call. Next day I get the daily call I arranged for about this and decide I need to go to a sup. I explain the situation and the frustration, (including how painful this has been for me as I am disabled and hand washing is NOT easy! ) and was told that she doesn't know what the issue is but sees that we are scheduled for a time 10 days away!!! I obviously said that is not acceptable. I am waiting a call back for her to find out what the AHEM is going on. I told her that I felt like we had bent over backwards to accommodate them when it should be the other way around.
