TV has marginal sound quality and at times the picture is great but at other times not so.. don't know why. light weight and easy to set up. overall a good basic TV for the money cant complain. The sound quality if doable but if hard of hearing may want to purchase a sound bar. the Bluetooth paired up nicely with our headsets.. no problem using the dishnetwork box

My in-laws 8 year old TV in their bedroom would no longer power on. I found this on on sale and it was very easy to get set up. It took about 15 min to get it set up. Very easy to remove from the box. This is the first large flat screen panel that I have purchased that came with handles on the bag to remove it from the box. Once out of the box I simply laid it on the mattress and ripped the bottom of the protective bag to install the stand. The legs are pretty good and sturdy. They have a "U" shaped channel and there is no way to mix up how to install it. After the four screws were secure, it was very stable on the top of the stand. The in-laws only have their cable box in he room. Only one HDMI was needed I used the #2 input. The remote was simple and allowed for quick setup. Once I had it connected to the CCI set top box. It was easy to program their set top box remote to control the TV which allowed them the use of just one remote to control the channels and volume. The volume for this TV was pretty good considering the speaker placement. I don't think it would be a problem for just broadcast TV sound. If this was for movies a sound bar would surely help. I opted for the 2 year extended warranty just because I don't live with them and not sure how often the TV would be used. In summary if you are looking for a simple 50" HDTV for a bedroom or spare room this is perfect. Super easy to get setup and function. I would recommend this.

I was looking for a TV to replace my 32 inch Samsung and I must say... This TV does a pretty good job. Great price.. Quality... And sound!! Very affordable for someone on a budget but still wants to get a chance to experience a big TV. Good job with this one.

This TV gets the job done. For the money, you can't expect a whole lot of features and what it does, it does well. The picture is bright and it has connectivity for a sound system. The built-in speakers are awful, but pretty much every flat panel is going to have terrible audio. With the money you save buying this, get a decent soundbar. The menu interface is easy to navigate and dialing in your settings is easy. Custom labels for the inputs is great. My universal remote works just fine with the TV. My only gripe was with the included feet; they're pretty wobbly and I ended up buying a VESA stand for it that gave it much more stability. A bit of a moot point if you plan on wall mounting it.

Good tv for for guest room at an affordable price. Picture seems nice for hd watching but a little lag for live sports. However with a refresh rate of 60 at this size it's expected. Overall solid purchase

I ordered this online and was skeptical because of the low price that it could be a great TV - but I was wrong! The picture quality is great and the sound also stereo-quality so even without a sound bar movies are good quality. It is also very lightweight which helps because I am a grandmother with arthritis who can't lift much. It has a lot of ports (including 3 HDMI), and the remote has glow-in-the-dark on the on/off button, channels, and volume. A very well thought out TV and I got it on sale $50 off which made it even a better deal...but it is definitely worht the price ven if not on sale.

I purchased this Tv for my elderly parents and they love it. I set it up for them myself. It was easy to put the stands on the bottom and even easier setting it up with their preferences. The price was great at $260! I can't complain. I've owned an insignia before and had no problems or complaints. It worked 10 years strong before going out. I'm really happy I made this purchase. I would recommend it for the not so tech savvy person or for a child's room. The picture quality is good for the money spent.

I showed up at Best Buys without knowing much more than what I wanted. I needed to replace my old 42" set with something of similar size. Being on a budget, that limited my options. With the aid of the staff, I was shown this set on display. The price was right, The style was sleek. And I was sold. I love the ease of set-up. The picture quality is excellent. And it was designed for ease in hooking up components -- DVD/DirectTV box/ Chromecast. I'm thrilled with the purchase.

Great picture quality, easy set up, easy to use. Bought it for my elderly parents. Perfect non-smart tv. I have local cable connected to it via HDMI, as well as a DVD player for them. I also connected an HD Antenna for when the cable goes out. All 3 of these sources provide a perfect picture and the sound is great for them as well. Clear and loud for them to enjoy. They have no use for a smart TV, so this does the Trick.

The picture is very clear. It's large size and small price made it a bit of a surprise.

I bought this to replace a wall mounted 32" flat screen in my master bedroom. The old unit was an eight year old Toshiba 720p LCD. It was okay, but really too small to view comfortably from the bed or loveseat in that room. I was able to hang this 50" Insignia unit on the same mount which swivels and extends. Now I have a screen big enough to enjoy sports, streaming video [through a smart blu-ray player- this TV is 'dumb'] and basic 480i cable. The built in digital tuner allows me to pick up over the air hi-def broadcasts from all of the major networks. My antenna for this reception consists of 20' of speaker wire divided and run along the floor tucked between the carpet and the baseboard moulding, then into the adjacent closet and up the wall. Completely out of sight and cheap! No signal disruptions caused by walking around either, simply a great result. On this TV, the picture isn't great out of the box. By tweaking the limited presets the color, contrast & brightness provide a clear picture great for a secondary TV. The sound is what you'd expect: limited dynamic range and a little muddy. If I want better sound adding a cheap surround sound system would do the trick. At $249, this was a no-brainer.

I wanted a flat screen TV with lots of input connections for various plug in items such as PS4, DVD, Roku, etc. This TV has everything I needed. I use a Roku and a Firestick with this TV which essentially makes it a smart tv. The picture quality is amazing. Its the best I've ever owned. And for the price of around $250 I cannot be more impressed with ease of use, features, and picture quality.
