    If you live in West Texas or somewhere else that the sun is constantly beating down on you and intruding on your line of focus, a polarizing filter is a must-have for you. Correct the washout effect of too much sun, or cut down on the glare from taking pictures with the sun in the frame of your shot. This is a filter you almost just leave on your lens all the time. Almost.

    I bought one for my telephoto lens and could see trees across a massive lake that otherwise would have been a hazy blur. It's fascinating to watch the sky change color as I rotate the filter. I only wish I would have bought this with my camera.
