Besides the UV light filtering is the least costly protection for your super expensive SLR lenses. Therefore it is a win-win for less than $10 if you buy the memory card and another accessory for 25% off typical discount Best Buy offers. Highly recommended before you put a scratch on your expensive lenses.

Whether or not this filter blocks out UV rays is irrelevant as to why I use it. I just spend a lot of money on a great lens- this filter just adds a protective barrier between anything scratching my brand new expensive lens. If I scratch this filter I won't mad- just buy a new one- it's inexpensive

Great fit for my Nikon and you can't be the price point. There is no reason not to use a UV filter. Only used it once shooting outdoors so far but seems to cut down a bit on glare.

Summary was a joke..this is a clear lens protector. Uh, not much to say here except it does what it is suppose to do. If you need to read reviews about what brand or type of lens protector to use...then maybe you should consider not buying a camera...or anything else ;)

Works well with Cannon Rebel, easy to install, protects cannon lens

This is the filter that is always attached to my DSLR lens. I don't use it much for anything else barring the occasional night time shoot where polarizing filters can not be used. Would definitely recommend them for those expensive lens. All scratches and dust accumulate on this not so expensive filter and not your lens, so a must have accessory.

So I got this filter because it came with a package deal but I'm glad I got it. Can't really tell the difference with it on or off but it does one thing that I love. IT PROTECTS the expensive lens that you just bought! So great thing to have on your camera.

Dropped my new camera while on vacation in Paris and was so glad I had this lens filter on because it protected my lens from being broken. The lens filter was broken but for $10, it was a cheap price to pay. So glad I didn't have to buy a new lens.

Very good lense protector,affordable and good quality

I bought this to go on the lens that came with my daughter's camera. I figured it would be smart to put a little protection on the front of her lens. She is just starting out in photography and is still young, but she saved her money to get her first DSLR. It will keep dirt and fingerprints of the front lens element.

I recieved one of the UV filters when I purchased my camera kit - but the kit came with 2 lenses. After switching the filter from one lens to the next, I decided to purchase another UV Filter if for any reason, it does protect the lens.

This lens cover doesn't look like it does that much, but it absolutely does. You never notice the diference of your photo with and without the UV cover but they look so much nicer with it. Also very protective of the lens glass.

I will never go without a filter on my lenses. While on vacation, one of my lenses fell out of my bag and the filter shattered. It saved the lens from damage and my wallet from a $500 lens replacement. Always use a filter!

If you get bored to death of putting and taking the lens cover (i do), that`s a really nice acessorie. It was part of a bundle and it really helps. i recomend, especially if you can get it with a bundle.
