Functional lens filter bought to protect lenses from scratches more than the UV filtration. Cheap insurance without affecting photographs much.

I have to admit, I purchased this primarily for the protection of the lens. Its much better to replace a filter than a scratched or broken lens.....

This is a good way to protect your camera lens. The cost is nothing compared to replacing a lens. A small investment for a major piece of equipment.

Besides serving as a UV filter, this also helps to protect my expensive lens glass from dust, scratches, and small dings. Well worth the cost!

I was told tht this item would shield my lense and protect it from harm tht would cost a lot if money. $10 is better than paying for a new lense.

I was recommended this product by a Best Buy employee to help protect my camera lens from scratches. It removes easily to be cleaned and if it gets scratched too badly it is priced well enough to replace it without emptying your wallet. It is actually for filtering out UV rays for better picture clarity which it does well. I just prefer the added benefit of protecting my lens.

These are a mist have in order to protect the lenses. Its a lot cheaper to replased a scratched filter as opposed to a replace a scratched lense.

It's always a great idea to protect your lenses, and this filter does a great job at it. I purchased the same one for all of my lenses.

It's a UV filter and does just what it's supposed to do, protect the front element of my lens.

We needed UV filter for second lens on Canon DSLR. This filter was reasonably priced and provided good protection. We got some great pictures under a adverse conditions on recent Caribbean cruise.

This filter is fine for every day use, but may want to get another for bright sunlight.

So far I haven't noticed a significant difference between my shots with the UV filter and without it, I have used it to protect the lens against scratches and it has worked like a charm!

This came in a buddle when I bought my new DSLR camera. It wouldn't fight on the lens that came with the camera but I used it with a different lens for protection. Good quality for the price.
