I've always been a Samsung supporter and have been looking for a home theater to enhance my viewing of movies and television. I have been hesitant to purchase a home theater in a box because they always look cheesy and cheap. This system looked really sleek and had some features that I have been looking for in a stereo system. The deal breaker for me was the mirroring option where the home theater syncs with your Samsung device (phone , tablet, etc..) providing it has the mirror option and you can stream video or photos from your phone or device onto your television via your home theater system. Besides the great sound that it has, im actually glad i bought it. I highly recommend it.

Got this unit to replace a 3d Blu-Ray player and separate surround sound system. Now down to 2 remotes, one for TV and one for the Samsung. Met my requirements; 3d Blu-Ray, surround sound with wireless rear speakers, minimal setup. Very Pleased. 2 items could be better; First, the Left and Right front speakers don't have a stand or something to raise them closer to ear height (right now I have them on the floor). Also, the remote is amazingly small, and my fat fingers have some issues pressing more than one button at once. Also could use a qwerty keyboard on the remote - would make sense on a $600 unit. Bonus part - The Amazon app is installed on the unit, so I do not have to buy an Amazon Firestick!! Saves money and fewer devices to manage. (Bonus points to Samsung). (I watch content for free with Amazon Prime membership). Sound is surprisingly good, great bass response, and I did nothing more than take it out of the box and plug it in!

Please ignore all the bad reviews on this product! The setup is easy, like every home theater system, everything is color coded so you can't mess it up. And yes, the rear speakers have to be connected to a remote transmitter in the back of the room, but they are wireless because you don't have to run 50ft wires from the rear of the room to the front. The system goes through a simple setup once you connect to your TV, language, sound and picture preferences, etc., then your ready to play a movie or connect to Netflix, Hulu, etc. Also a much simpler system than my 4 yr old Sony Home theater which I was replacing; smaller in size and no external USB internet receiver and no external transmitter cards for the rear speakers. The sound is awesome...loud and crisp so you can hear every detail. Tested it on a few movies that deserve to be loud (Dark Knight, 2012, etc). I have noticed that in home theater systems the dialogue can be too low compared to the background when things get loud, but increasing the dB on the center speaker resolves that. The only gripe I have is that the remote is ridiculously small, I feel like I'm going to break it, or even just simply lose it, but it's just something to get use to. Some people may actually have a defective system, but more than likely it's because it got set up wrong/user error. Since I bought this as an open-box item (system was never unpacked, just a severely damaged box), this is one my best purchases I have ever made.

Love the sound and setting up was a breeze. This is my second Samsung surround sound system. I had a Samsung DVD wireless surround system and love it. My only complaint is the remote is small and not really user friendly.

First off, the speakers are fantastic, and the sound they put out is amazing. I'm not a huge audiophile, so I can't speak to how amazing in any great specificity, but if you want a big sound for a small price, this is your way to go. The controls, though, leave something to be desired. The remote is older than the one for the TV, and if the one for the TV worked well on the sound system, I'd never use the other. But it doesn't. Maybe I just need to play with it more to figure out what I'm doing wrong, but it's aggravating. For example, I can hit the power button on the sound system remote to turn on the TV and sound system, but hitting it again only turns off the sound system. To turn off the TV, I need to use the TV remote. Still, it was a bargain system, so I expect a little less from it than I might if it were the shiny, top-of-the-line model.

Very easy to setup out of the box. Using the remote control you can easily change input or adjust bass and treble, check each speakers function and adjust volume independently. I gave it 4 stars because its not as good as my Bose for sound, then again its 1/5 the price. That being said, sound quality is quite good and with the independent speaker adjustment you can hear the voice track without turning up the volume.

I had the Sony 1000 Watts 5.1 system before he getting this Samsung system. And even thought it doesn't quite offer as much of a powerful bass, I am still very satisfied with it. The remote is simple and easy, thought I wish the fast forward and rewind weren separate buttons ( the skip and forward/rewind buttons are the same, not just if you want to fast forward you just hold down either 1,2 or 3 times depending how fast you want it to move. The Smart Hub is great. Easy Simple. The system runs well with my Samsung TV. 3D = Awesome

This is an amazing little system. It pumps out so much base for it being a non-powered subwoofer. It can actually shake the floors in my house. The wireless rear speakers work awesome and required no setup. Everything works as intended including automatically talking to my TV and coming on when I turn the TV on or when I switch inputs. The surround is clear and just adds so much volume to anything I watch. So far all my 3D Blu-rays have worked perfectly with it. It's fast. I can't say enough good things about this system. Anybody who complains about the bass either doesn't know that this is a non-powered subwoofer or has it been extremely unrealistic expectations for such a simple cheap system. It's also very probable that they're not hooking the system up correctly.

Turned my regular TV into a smart TV. The sound system is outstanding. It makes watching movies at home a totally new experience. The only thing I don't particularly like is the tiny remote that comes with this really nice system. I would have expected a much nicer remote. The controls for the DVD are so small and close together that I can't use them effectively..

Not too bad for an all-in-one home theater system

Overall this is a fairly good option for an all-in-one box home theater system. It is simple to setup and delivers good sound quality for the cost. The smart features (e.g. available apps, wireless wifi connectivity capabilities) work well and meet most needs. My biggest complaint relates to the remote control that comes with the system. It incredibly does not have fast forward and rewind buttons - just a skip forward and skip backward (by chapter) button that you can "hold down to search forward and backwards". I found that it was too quick to skip forward to the next chapter and due to this design does not offer the option of fast forwarding or rewinding by 2x, 4x, 8x, etc. speeds like would be available if it had the typical button arrangement of Skip Back, Rewind, Play/Pause, Fast Forward, Skip Forward that you find on most remotes. It is also very difficult to figure out navigating the smart menus and using the FM radio tuner capabilities since there are so few buttons on the remote. In total, this is a fairly good value for the price given all the positives, but the remote is an epic fail that I hope they will rectify in future iterations of these offerings. I'm now investigating universal remote options to hopefully address these shortcomings in another way...

Samsung has done it again. Awesome sound in my small living room. Great home theater in a box. Little bit of a learning curve using the remote, which is small and gets lost easily. Wi-Fi and apps work great. Wireless rear speakers are nice.

Great system for the price. Easy to set up. Rear wireless speakers work wonderfully. Overall sound quality is top notch. I do wish the remote had more function. Rather small and lack of buttons reduces ease of use. But overall a great sounding, functional system.

Impressive rich and full theater sound for the money. I was impressed with all the features of this system and fit and finish. A definite step up from the 4 and 5 series and worth the extra money. I was looking for something with wireless rear speakers and this delivers without fuss or complicated add-on's. I also wanted something that wasn't a royal pain to set up and integrated well with my TV. This does both extremely well being an all-in-one solution especially the anynet+ system. Everything is compatible with each other and just works with my older Samsung TV. Audio enhancements like the 3D sound and Neo fusion really make a very noticeable difference to my ear in most if not all listening situations. Bells and whistles like the fully customized eq and speaker volumes are a very nice touch as well along with blue tooth support for your phone. Construction of the unit is very nice with metal speaker grills all around - a MUST if you have small kids. Speaker construction is very solid and could survive some mishandling without breaking. The main unit is very modern looking with a sleek look although does look a bit delicate without an imposing cheapo feel. Using the smart functions, streaming over the wireless is always flawless and works perfect whenever I'm using it. Great system for the money and will impress. Now to the cons: The bass tube could be more powerful and bigger. Certain frequencies can cause an annoying rattle but definitely not a deal breaker but bass snobs will cringe at this. The remote is annoyingly small and could be a lot better with only the volume buttons properly positioned to my liking.

This system performs as expected based on its specs, good bass and nice sound. I have heard that if any one component goes out the whole thing stops working, so that makes me nervous. But I did get the Geek Squad plan...

Bought this system about 6 weeks ago. The sound is a big improvement over our old system, but the wireless unit for the rear speakers bit the dust after 3 weeks. Since the sound was so good for the price, we were willing to give it one more shot and exchanged it for the same model. So far, so good ............. it's been 4 weeks with no issues.
