Bought this system after a little research and glad to do it. It has the basics and delivers good sound quality, deep bass and easy to setup. If you are on a tight budget, this is the system to get.

Great sound, lots of features for a resonance price

We purchased this theater system to replace a Boise lifestyle 30 system ..what a great move we made..yes it sounds as good or better than the Boise. ..time consuming like all systems. .but will be worth the wait..everything was easy-to-use and easy to sset up. Thank You!!! Highly Recommend this system!!!

So excited about our new surround sound system. I had planned to purchase another model but the Best Buy associate shared some additional information and helped me to make a better purchase. I would have given it a 5 stars for price and perfomance but I was hoping for a silver finish and not the black finish.

I purchased this unit to replace a failing Samsung system purchased almost 10 years ago. The 4 star rating is because the unit will only accept 4 HDMI inputs. If you are looking for a sound system that meets or exceeds your expectations for sound quality and powerful bass response, then look no further. I read a lot of reviews before I decided to purchase this system. Three were some complaints about having to cut the speaker wire to the desired length but that was no problem for me. I liked that it did not have dedicated connections for the speakers so I could use whatever wire I wanted and not worry about splicing to a special connector. Another complaint had to do with noise coming from the self-powered subwoofer when the unit had no input or the unit was shut off. The subwoofer has its own volume knob. I found that turning the volume down lost the ' humming ' noise. The sound settings in the receiver are numerous! I am still playing with them to tweak the sound from each speaker the way I want it. There are even separate equalizer settings per speaker!! There is a setting for the front speakers and surround speakers if they are small or large speakers for those with the big tower speakers. There is a subwoofer crossover and phase setting and there is an extra bass boost setting. You have so many settings to play with that it will take a short while for us finicky sound listeners to get it just right. Those that want simple settings don't despair. The remote has you in mind. There are several auto settings at your fingertips. The volume gets automatically connected to your tv so you don't have to keep using the receiver remote. There is even a dimmer control for the front panel. Increase the HDMI inputs to 6 and this would be a really great unit. Cable/satellite unit, bluray player, Xbox and/or PlayStation units, Mi Box, Roku, Apple TV just to name some of the more popular connections. Also, the ability to pass thru 3D and 4K viewing is keeping with the times. There is an included speaker to use and the unit will auto adjust the speaker volumes for you. Just follow the instructions. This system will get LOUD!! Nice job, Yamaha !!

First off, this came packaged really nice. I was surprised that there was not mounting brackets included. But, overall, this was a basic easy setup for someone who has some knowledge of surround sound hookups. I installed it in less than two hours including wall mounting the speakers. Performance is good. I have not completely configured it though. I feel like I need to fine tune it with the microphone included for testing. My kids are the ones who use it. Mostly to watch animated movies on the tv. Overall, I'm happy I went with this one. I spent a lot of time analyzing price vs performance and I am not disappointed.

Wanted one since forever but did not need a blu-Ray system so was like the only choice. Yamaha is a very good brand for sound so my only problem was the wires. But it comes with a very large one and we were able to connect the speakers as wanted! Great sound with my PS4! Love it

My old Samsung system fizzled so I thought it was time to upgrade to a real receiver. The included speakers deliver great sound and the receiver does a fantastic job connecting my entertainment components. The only reason for 4 stars and not 5 is the lack of Wi-Fi and no usb port.

I went into the store looking for a new surround sound system for the house the sale associate gave me a lot of information and the surround sound was a great value for me and it is well worth the money awesome value

Purchased this sound system on recommendation of a sales associate in our Best Buy Store. We were looking to replace our current system which was no longer working properly. We are very pleased with our purchase. The sound quality is very good. The system is easy to work, switching between cable, Roku, Blu-Ray, music, etc. It produces a full surround sound making watching movies or listening to music very enjoyable. I also like the fact that with this particular system we have the option of upgrading the speakers if we choose without having to replace the entire system.

This AV receiver comes with all of the pieces necessary for a simple AV system. It was packaged very well. The unit was very easy to set up and came complete with cable for the speakers. The receiver was very simple to set up and is very easy to use.

Set-up was a bit of a pain; cables needed for complete set-up were not included. Once they were purchased the rest of the installation went off without a hitch. The dynamic sound quality produced by this Yamaha is a must for the ultimate home theater.

I'm very impressed with the performace of Yamaha YHT-4920UBL. Speakers are very powerful as well as the subwoofer. I will recommend this home theater to anyone interested in purchasing one.

It's a smart receiver which switches between my tv, PS, aux, bluetooth and cable box quite well. The sound is amazing with real theatre like expericences while watching movies/playing games.

Once everything is hooked up and ready to go to surroundsound is flawless, one of the best purchases I have ever made.

After trying another product having gweek squad here 3 times because i couldnt decide on what i wanted, I decided go with this Yamaha and it was the best choice. Great sound love the music and movie quality. Well worth the money!

I brought these on a Black Friday sale. They work fine. Better then my old sound bar. I did return them in the end. There was nothing wrong with the system. I just decided I wanted to go all out. But this is a great entry level system.
