Has a great sound quality. Pairs up nice with my 4k tv.

This is a great system for the budget price. Better than any other all in one box systems I have purchased. Keep in mind, if you have a gaming system with an independent blueray (Switch) you will need to buy an additional adapter if you want to game in surround sound.

Great Value. Name Brand and reputation! Easy set up! Sounds great in our living room. A mike sensor to calibrate the room is a big plus. Identfies phasing issues (incorrect wiring polarity) and best speaker location.

Each of my receivers in the past have been Yamaha. I was originally going for a scavenger hunt esque home theater setup, and by that I mean, getting each speaker and such separately and having to unbox a bunch of stuff. I decided to take it easy, and after a little research, and weeks of indecision and different opinions, the idea of getting a Home Theater in a box was honestly the better choice for me. These save a lot of the hassle and work in setting up your new home theater. Of course, almost never use the wiring in the box, get some 12 or 14 gauge wire, and set it up that way. Mounted the 2 surround speakers above, I had no space to put them behind, but, they work great and offer a little bit of a 7.1 system aspect. The receiver is standard enough, it has bluetooth and RCA inputs, 4k passthrough, and even composite passthrough. A Home Theater in a box saves a lot of effort for a normal person to get a decently priced, but, great sounding setup. I overly recommend this if you need something simple.

I love this system. I got it to go with my Epson projector and the sound is great! I also love the Bluetooth feature so I can play music from my phone. Great quality and great sound!

For the pricing, it was fantastic. You can feel the bass in your chest! Great for experiencing music, or getting a true theatre experience in your home!

Bought this to replace a blu-ray player that had wired surround. The depth of range this system provides is perfect for our living room. Easy to install, and the auto-balance feature is quite nice. It even coordinates nicely with the tv (of a different brand). It’s not the highest end system, but great bang for the buck.

This product was very easy to set up and sounds amazing. Much better than getting a DVD or BlueRay with surround sound.

Whilst I love great sound, I've never personally felt compelled to spend several grand on a home theater sound system. That's not to suggest there's nothing further to be gained beyond a certain price-point of course, but the primary focus with this purchase was to get something very useable, whilst also keeping the cost well under control. With that criteria in mind, I initially went for the Onkyo 5.1 all in one system. That was around $275 and I bought that in full knowledge that I'd likely be using Best Buy's excellent 15 Day Return policy... I didn't hold out too much hope that it could perform well enough, but wondered if it might be useable with some judicious tweaking. After one week, I knew it wound't cut it - I kinda knew that from first listen, but tried to give it the benefit of the doubt. Ultimately though, there were just too many mid range frequencies, not enough high end definition and no real scope to do much about it. I saw this very similar looking, Yamaha 5.1 all in one system at the store for a little more money - but still in touch with what I was looking to pay. Had there been an option to buy a Denon 550BT (that's also excellent for the money!) with a set of 5.1 speakers, I'd have done that, but there were no separate options available anywhere close to the same kind of budget. The assistant suggested that the Yamaha box kit might be "a bit of a step up from the Onkyo, but I'd really need to be looking at the $2.5k stuff in the demo studio to really notice a difference." I appreciated his point of view, but it didn't quite ring true for some reason - and again, with full knowledge of the 15 Day Return, I gave this system a shot. With the Onkyo still in place, I set the Yamaha up alongside for a direct comparison and honestly, there was simply no comparison! There was clearly better mid-range representation and a much sweeter high end delivery - there actually is some in the Yamaha, whereas the Onkyo was sorely lacking in that. The set up options are also night and day. Much more scope to tune and tweak in the Yamaha - better than I was anticipating, but quietly hoping for when deciding not to take the Assistant's advice. The only slight downer is the lack of HDR pass-through via the HDMI inputs... even the Onkyo had that. No worries though because I simply plugged my Apple 4k box directly into HDMI 1 on an LG TV and used the ARC (Audio Return Channel) from HDMI 2 to feed the audio back into the Yamaha amp. No issues with sync and a great solution to what I thought would be a show stopping stumbling block when I eventually realized my oversight. All in all, if you know how to set up, tune and tweak a system, this can deliver great results within a very reasonable budget. It now gets turned on and I simply enjoy with no further thoughts of compromise. Super high-end sound..? No... but very good for the money? Definitely. Winner! To Best Buy's credit, there was no quibble when bringing the Onkyo system back either - you'd be hard pushed to know it had even been opened though. It's always worth taking special care with the packaging and product if there's any chance you're a little unsure and may be looking to return inside 15 days.

Sony 5.1 3D Blu Ray was getting long in the tooth so I decided to replace it with this. The sound is awesome for the price. It's a complete night and day difference! ARC HDMI works perfectly paired with Samsung mu8000 uhd 4k TV and XBOX One X Scorpio.

Very happy with this sustem that was recommended by an associate and installed by Geek squad. Geek squad recommended a universal remote and 4K Ble ray player that are great.

This is a great home theater sound system for the price. I mean it! Subwoofer provides deep bass and 5 speakers sound awesome. I was hesitant because I see open box in a few Best Buy near my area and thought it wasn't a great system. Took a chance and I am glad I did. After installing, I think I know why there are opened boxes. If you have Comcast/Xfinity, the HDMI connection from the cable box to the receiver doesn't works. This is due to the cable box and not the receiver. This is true for most cable provider boxes. I hooked up DVD and Blue Ray to the receiver and it is fine. To get around the cable box issue, you connect HDMI from cable box to TV and then the sound from TV to receiver. This is a great sound system!

My husband is very hard of hearing and likes to turn the volume up very high. This will help bring the volume down a bit and he can enjoy tv again.

I was hoping to get a good amount of surround sound for a reasonable price. This works great with my Tv and I can also hook my phone up to the system via bluetooth. Its a great purchase for the price
