Kanye is a musical genius and his artistry continues with this album. However, "808's & Heartbreak" is nothing like his previous albums. The rough time he is experiencing at this point in his life is really illustrated by the overall dark nature of this album. There are a couple of upbeat tunes, like "Paranoid" for example, but for the most part it is filled with more down-trodden numbers. The music is still exceptional!

I know alot of people are worried about this because hes not rapping on most of the album well no need to worry hear. He sings with the autotune and takes it to new meaning. Heartbreak he calls it the sound of his autotune voice and the feeling throughout the album. Honestly this may be one of the best albums that I have ever heard. It is highly original and there is not one track on the album that I do not love. So if you are worried about him not rapping just forget that now. If you are a fan of great music that is highly original and meaningful go pick up this album. Mr. West did it again!

Ye is the most creative MC ever. He has transcended the hip-hop genre whether people want to acknowledge it or not. Think about it...who is constantly giving the fans something that isn't the same. Lil' Wayne needed to utilize Kanye's formula to go triple platinum, so all the Kanye haters need to appreciate the fact that Kanye West exists.

A Kanye lover or hater, you have to acknowledge that he gives his all on every project and creates masterpieces on each. This album, sound, concept and feel is different from the previous. It's vulnerable, honest, and almost depressing. It isn't an album I could just skip through-I had to take the time out and listen to each track intensely- to really deciper the stories he was telling. They are beautifully written, dark and all. If you ever want to zone out and explore your inner thoughts, this is the album to do it to. Well done, Mr. West

Okay, I have to admit that most people expecting the old Kanye WILL be disappointed. I on the other hand can appreciate this experiment and can also relate to most of his stories. The fact that this is a personal album for Kanye makes me like it even more. He took a chance and put his heart on the CD sleeve. I know most people will say he's trying to be like T-Pain but I think EVERY artist at soe point tries something that has been done before or sounds the same (and I mean EVERYONE). Overall I love this album and give it a 9 out of 10.

I'm not that much of a Kanye West fan but he did it on this one. I love most of the music, lyrics on some songs not so much but its still a good album. Not too many rappers have this style going the only album that really compares is the parody album made for Coldplay and Jay-z (Viva la Hova) which is also a great album!

Great CD and i would recommend it to all. It is even a good cd for non-KAnye West fans. it is not a typical rap album. it isnt even really a rap album he mostly sings through the whole album. Great for any fan of music. Good work here

Kanye, Lil Wayne, Jay-Z, R. Kelly, Ludacris, T.I and T-Pain all are very creative in their own ways and this album just shows how creative Kanye can be look at the name of the album before you think this album is a disappointment. It tells you the story right from the start 808's and heartbreak sounds like it's going to be some heartbreaking songs over some hard hitting 808s I thought this album was perfectly named and the songs were great the man is a poet that makes G.O.O.D MUSIC

kanye west has done it again, his new album is great, i got it at his release party..and i must say, its perfect!! every song on the album has a message.. its a new style for kanye..and im liking it...one thing i like about kanye west, he always switches up his music..never stays the same....and like he said "he's a fan of music" thast why he makes such good music.. so anyone that is questioning about buying this album, i say go get it..its a winner

Overall this is a good cd by Kanye West. Not many Hip Hop/ Rap artists can make a cd with no profane language.

In my opinion Kanye´s Graduation is one of the best discs lately , this disc is very good with Love Lockdown being my favorite track but it´s just not as good as previous albums from kanye West . Overall this Disc gets a 8.3 in my book

Kanye is an artist before a rapper and he is showing it through this album. I was not a fan of the auto-tune initially, but he is using it with meaning. More auto-tune=more heartbreak, that is the message he is getting across. Each album has been unique from him and he did not hold back this time. He is doing what he loves and we are in the presence of a genius at work. Give the album a shot.

Wow im not such a big fan of all that T-pain auto-tone stuff but after listening kanye west in this cd I couldn't help but to start to like it. Kanye changed the style up and I think it sounds good and his lyrics talk about things that we can relate to unlike some rappers who just through word together.

Maybe this is not Kanye's best work to some. But the Fans or so called Fans fail to realize is Kanye West just lost his mother... The guy is going thru alot right now. If you haven't notice( im talking to true Kanye West Fans) He raps at least 4 times about his mom on Every CD he has made. Give him a break.... il otherwise i love the 1st 2 singles....

The album is another step forward in his progression to be something more than any other artist in this mixed up game called hip hop / rap. The content is more for one to meditate over and reflect on ones own events and happenings in life. If you have followed his career and are a true fan you will like this album just like his others.

This CD was a very different approach from Kanye. Its a CD of emotions, how he felt about his life happenings and so on. The auto-tune wasn't needed but the music is great regardless. Can't knock the brotha for trying a different approach to making music. this album is GREAT!. Keep doing you Yeezy, keep making them hits.

this cd is really great, the beats are good, but the lyrics and the amount of personal feelings put in this album are amazingly excellent. DO NOT BUY THIS CD IF YOU ARE EXPECTING SONGS LIKE GOOD LIFE, GOLD DIGGER, OR STRONGER. this is slower music, and NOT heavy rap. but the lyrics and the beats make up for that.

I am not opposed to any type of music until i listen to it first. Unlike other rap CD's that ramble on with profanities and others or how much money they have behind a repetitve beat, Kanye West does it different. he really goes above and behind the norm and does a remarkable job on this CD!!!

It was better than I expected. You will appreciate his singing if you like kanye like I do I don't see why you wouldn't like this album.

This album features the best sound ever made! The best songs on the album are Heartless, Love Lockdown, and See You in My Nightmares. The chorus of Heartless is where you find some great music. I can listen to these songs all day.
