If you're looking for an affordable pro-controller, this is it. I love this controller. It's comfortable, all the buttons you expect from a controller are present, and it works with other operating systems to boot. The smartphone clip is a bit flimsy, but I don't care for it. All I wanted is the gamepad and I am absolutely satisfied with it.

The controller has incredible quality. It does not feel like an aftermarket controller. The SN30 Pro+ introduces handles and several more features The joysticks, d-pad, buttons, and feel are excellent. They feel sturdy and not fragile. The cable that comes with this is good quality. The shoulder buttons are also now analog, while the SN30 Pro has digital inputs. You can also use the Ultimate software with this. The smartphone clip, however, is a weak link in this product. The phone clip may take a bit longer than expected to setup. When it is setup, it can hold a phone with a normal-sized case. Unfortunately, the weight of the phone becomes too much for the clip and falls, taking the smartphone clip along with it when the controller is held upside down. Pushing up the clip against the controller will also cause it to lose its grip. The clip can expand to allow holding wider phones. You also receive a USB-C to USB-A cable which can be used to charge the controller and/or play in wired mode. The value is excellent. You usually purchase this package for about $7 more on Amazon or $50 (+$10 for a separate smartphone clip purchase). With this, you basically get the controller at MSRP with a free smartphone clip. If it weren't for the basically free smartphone clip, my overall rating would be at a 4/5 stars. Not being able to hold the controller upside down is a deal breaker for me. The controller is extremely easy to setup. Depending on what device you use, you will need to press a specific button + start. Windows: X + START Android: B + START Nintendo Switch: Y + START macOS: A + START Feel free to check this manual for additional setup: https://web.archive.org/web/20201222232954/https://download.8bitdo.com/Manual/Controller/SN30-Pro+/SN30_Pro+_Manual.pdf You may also update the firmware. Be cautious, as I heard that updating to 3.02 and above may introduce some bugs. If you accidentally update to 3.02 or above, you can easily revert back to version 3.01.

A great fitting controller that’s easy to pair and works well with all games tried. Does not update wirelessly and must be plugged into a pc of some kind. Not the end of the world but an inconvenience certainly.

Works as expected. The documentation was lacking and was confusing around how and when to set the modes, but once set it works well. This is the first controller that I have used so I do not have much to compare it with.

Regarding the Smartphone clip: it's just ok. It balances your phone very well. My Pixel 4XL fits in it just fine. I wish I could move it back just a bit more. I wouldn't recommend playing a long time with it just because the weight eventually gets to your wrists and/or the angle makes your neck sore. So I tend to just prop my phone in a holder on a desk etc. All that to say, get this for the controller and consider the gameclip a nice extra in the box. If you are really looking for a good smart phone clip and a controller, the Moga XP+ with it's many adjustments will allow you to game longer with better customizable ergonomics.

Everything I wanted in a controller

Works with my Switch, PC, and OnePlus 8 (including Steam Link). Easy to connect via Bluetooth. If you like the configuration of a PS controller, it'll feel nice and familiar--if you're an Xbox or Switch fan, it could take some getting used to. Buttons are quiet, they feel sturdy, and they're all programmable (with a download for PC or Mac). I like being able to adjust the sensitivity of the sticks and R/L2 buttons. It does almost everything any other good controller out there does, but it's less expensive, and, in most cases, more versatile.

I bought the open box of it. It was unexpectedly delivered fast! Looked and smelled new but cable missing. I love it, I've been using it for my android phone, but couldn't play with all games (like PubG, Counter Attack) because I have mac and for some reason I can't download the 8bitdo screen emulator. But primarily bought it for switch so yeah.

Impressive quality controller. Many aftermarket controllers feel somewhat flimsy and like they are, well, aftermarket. Remember that smell you got when opening your NES or SNES? That's the same nostalgic aroma you'll get here. It's basically a souped up SNES controller that feels like the real deal, buttons 'n all.

This is a nice alternative to the Pro Controller, my only complaint is the letters on the buttons are hard to see. I sometimes get confused when using other controllers from different gaming platforms and I look at the letters just to check my buttons and this one has faint letters on it.

I love the SN30 Pro+! It's very comfortable to use... I like the flexibility of using the battery pack or my own AA rechargeable batteries. I have a few of these I use for playing controller-friendly games on my PC and as a controller for my retro-gaming Raspberry Pi setup.

Excellent controller. Connects fast and Effortlessly. It works with my laptop and Android Note 10+. Not all games on Android work with a controller, so if it doesn't work it might be the game.

This is really good for 2d games. I am not a fan of where the sticks are for 3D games but I’m biased because I prefer an Xbox style controller for 3D games

Works great with your smart phone or any other Bluetooth gaming device. However, I would not recommend this product as a PC controller. I would go with an XBOX controller for ease of use and compatibility issues. This controller is not customizable and lacks basic functions for PC use.
