I bought bluray of "99 Homes" for few reasons: BEST price which is always at BEST BUY, and Best Buy matches prices of competitors always -which they did, and only the BLURAY was only available at Best Buy, and the movie is current and semi-true, as it is due to today's current events and what is occurring in USA today, and listened to part of the commentary which states it is based on fact. I buy mostly true stories and documentaries now, as well as 3D, and any movie worth buying, especially ones that I like and want. BUT BEST BUY IS THE "GO TO" PLACE -AND THE BEST 'buy' PLACE- TO BUY PRODUCTS AND ITEMS , WHICH I BUY ALL MY DVDS AND BLURAYS AND 3D BLURAYS ONLY AT BEST BUY! Everybody should buy at Best Buy. (*only thing is I wish Best Buy would have advertisements every week min the store AND deliver to the house with the Sunday newspaper, which is my Sunday Newsday here on Long Island!) Anyway, buy this movie, And watch, because both the movie and Best Buy are both excellent! Thank you.

99 HOMES is a very interesting movie about the lives of people who lost their homes due to the Mortgage disasters of the past decade. Michael Shannon is perfect as an unempathetic businessman who wants to make as much money as he can and doesn't care who has to suffer for it. Andrew Garfield is one of the unfortunate victims of the Mortgage disaster who ends out working for Shannon in an unexpected twist. The movie is a GREAT drama and kept me wanting to find out what was going to happen. The Blu Ray has Great Video and Audio quality. Blu Ray is Only available at Best Buy for a limited time.

this movie based on the foreclosure crisis in fl during the last recession showed how state laws were extremely flawed including the the few corrupt real estate agents and investors who preyed on judical process where greed and corruption created terrible hardship for thousands of families caught up in a housing bubble sub prime lending abuses if you have been through a foreclosure dont watch this movie it will upset you too much however the movie did depict the real situations going on in fl at that time

This is a very underrated film that had a very limited release in theaters, especially in the US. Budgeted at $8 million and only making $1.9 million in box office, the numbers here doesn't serve any justice. One of the BEST performance by Michael Shannon as well as top notch performance by Andrew Garfield. Movie is inspired by true events, and depicts the world of corruption involving eviction. A very well made film overall and would highly recommend it!

99 Homes is a movie dealing with the aftermath of the 2008 housing crisis. As a result, people who couldn't make mortgage payments or haven't been making mortgage payments were being evicted from their homes. Micheal Shannon, who is the ruthless real estate broker in this movie, delivers a convincing performance. Andrew Garfield, who gets evicted by Michael Shannon's character in the beginning of the movie and eventually works for him, performs well and has great chemistry with Shannon. A well recommended movie but it will make your gears grind.

Michael Shannon delivers another great performance. Andrew garfield is also strong here. The film was sadly underrated, but hopefully will get a new life on home video. Garfield is a construction worker who has his house evicted. Shannon plays the man who evicted him, and before long, has Garfield working for him basically becoming the thing he hated. Solid flick.

99 Homes is a frightening indie movie about the housing crisis in 2010 that disturbed me more than anything I'd seen in the horror movies of today. Shannon and Garfield give painfully believable performances, and the ending is truly haunting. Unfortunately it's such an unpleasant experience that I cannot see myself watching it again.

If you enjoyed Wall Street, 99 Homes follows that model very closely. Michael Shannon makes for a very effective Gordon Gekko type, substituting foreclosures for stocks. The game is still the same. You get seduced by the money and power and sell your soul in the process. Aside from a too neat ending, this is one electrified drama.

Happy that I took a chance on a Best Buy exclusive when I purchased this movie. Having become a big fan of Michael Shannon during his run on Boardwalk Empire, I continue to be impressed with his every screen appearance. The story is compelling too. Young family man essentially forced to work FOR the villain in his life.

If you're looking for a above average drama this is a good place to start. Michael Shannon (who is always turning out great performances) is again at the top of his game, much the same is the underrated Andrew Garfield. This is a film that'll surely hit close to home and it shouldn't be missed.

I remember seeing a trailer for this movie and it peaked my interest. Mostly because i was glad Andrew Garfield was free to do more films now that spiderman is being rebooted. This movie was emotional and you get to see the downfall of Garfields character. The movie does feel alittle like a lifetime movie but I think the acting makes up for that.

Thought provoking and suspenseful film set against the world of repossessions and real estate. Michael Shannon is especially good. An overlooked and underrated rate film awaiting your discovery (or rediscovery). And at $9.99 for a new release Blu-Ray, a great bargain.

Awesome directing. The film carries a tense tone that builds throughout right to the end. Also it tells an important story relating to the consequences of the real estate crash of '09 and how the banks changed their strategy to profit from it.... and more importantly how homeowners were affected. Solid acting as well.

Another good job by Michael Shannon, creating a character you love to hate, but it true about his thinking. It was enlightening to see a film about a different topic that is common but people don't really think about. Andrew Garfield plays a good role and doesn't get what a good guy deserves. Good picture.

This is a good action packed drama filled with many ups and downs, in's and out's filled with plenty heart beating emotions. Filled with many life changing moments which will make you wonder about life. Surely worth looking at.

This movie is so gripping and compelling the performances Andrew Garfield and Michael Shannon deliver Truly a true testimony to there acting careers. These guys deliver such a realistic portrait of what really happened to these people. What a movie and what a job they did!

With great performances and a gripping story, 99 Homes still has it's faults that lay in the lip syncing and cinematography. Overall still a really solid film and I would hope Michael Shannon gets an Oscar nom for his performance.

Great movie. Saw it at Sundance 2015, and when I found out that Best Buy was exclusively carrying a Blu Ray I had to get it. The only thing that more that I would ask for is more special features, but lack of special features is something you come to expect with indie films.

I thought this was a really good film. There a smatterings of the "behind the scenes" realities of the recent housing melt down here as the backdrop. Overall this is a good piece of filmaking, nice writing, compelling characters, good acting... add it to the video library!

I have grown to become big fans of both these two main actors and them together in a movie was by no means a let down...I went into this with not much expectations but was rather please when.it was all said and done
