If you like anthology films with a great twist - or if you like holiday horror stories, then this made for you. Fans of "Troll Hunter" or "Rare Exports" will feel right at home here.

Movie arrived sooner than I expected (and was notified of this via email). Sadly, the movie had some sort of scratch on the case that penetrated through all the layers. (Plastic wrap, plastic on the actual case and the paper with the movie cover :/)

An Original Idea With a Few Flaws

While the horror Christmas genre isn't a new thing, per se, this movie takes it in a slightly different direction with several intertwined stories. While these vary in quality, they fit together in an interesting way, each exploring a very different aspect. I didn't really like the movie that much until the end when I saw it all come together so I recommend sticking it out until the end. The quality of acting isn't great. Sure, it has William Shatner, but he plays a rather minor bridge character, connecting the stories together. I would say it averages out to B+ acting and special effects grade. Above a typical B movie but not on par with a larger budget film. If the concept of this film intrigues you, I would recommend giving this a watch.

A Christmas Horror Story is a fun, frantic, bloody little holiday themed horror anthology, featuring four intertwining stories that take place over Christmas in a snowy little town. Three out of the four stories are great watches, while one of them was a bit of a drag. However, it's well worth watching this one all the way through. The acting was pretty well done, the majority of the effects were practical and gory, and who wouldn't want to watch a showdown betweeen Santa, evil elves, and Krampus? There's a real kicker tucked into this title as well, though I will refrain from further explanation, to avoid spoilers. Blind purchase, so worth the cash spent.

Another Krampus film for the holidays and this one uses bloody violence instead of creepiness which is predominant in the big theatrical release. It's 4 interwinding stories that are very well done. My problem is with the changeling story. How does the main female character explain things to the police and her son? (This was left up in the air). But the entire film is a bloody good time and it does have William Shatner in it. PS>I think the Krampus in this one is awesome.

Entertaining and funny horror movie with multiple stories to enjoy. In the similar vein as the Halloween anthology "Trick or Treat", "A Christmas Horror Story" obviously focuses on the Noel holiday with a haunting in a boarding school, a family bringing home more than a Christmas tree, Krampus terrorizing a family, and Santa slaying his elves after they turn evil. Well made and a fun movie to watch.

This is an anthology film, but instead of running each story back to back the film instead runs the 4 stories simultaneously. So you go back and forth between each story, William Shatner is in the movie. It is better than most Christmas horror movies and better than what I expected.

This is a very fun flick! If you like horror anthology films (specifically Trick 'r Treat, as it is the first film I thought of while watching this), this is for you! Very entertaining with a twist ending I did not see coming! And William Shatner!

I liked the movie, not seen Krampus, it is 4 interlocking stories over a Christmas, 3 of 4 stories are pretty good, the ghost story was weakest, but I've seen worse. Give it a chance, don't go into it with it's a Krampus rip-off.

Not even Santa Claus is safe from the evil that descends on Bailey Downs, a small town that is suddenly plagued with malevolent spirits, zombie elves and Krampus (the anti-Santa Claus).

Good movie to watch around the holidays, if you like scary movies. It's also good if you want to scare your children for being naughty and put them back on Santa's good list.

A nice addition to the Christmas horror genre! Plenty of gruesome action in this NR film. I recommend it! Not perfect, but entertaining. Several great scenes too, like when Santa is attacked by Demon elves and does martial arts moves! Several stories go on at the same time, but it holds together well. Nice bit part by Bill Shatner. Ending is a bit weak, and it is dark at times keeping it from a perfect film, but it is decently close.

Three great stories rolled into one pretty good movie. Shattner does a great job adding subtle comedy to a movie that was better than I thought it would be.

This movie is anthology film, all centered around the town of Bailey Downs, and taking place on Christmas Eve. The movie's stories are all original and tie into the themes of the holiday nicely. As per every anthology ever, there is one story that just doesn't work, mostly due to really bad acting. However, the movie still works, sports great cinematography, and is different enough to stand apart from other Christmas slashers.
