As a newer holiday movie this certainly is a classic. A lot of hilarious scenes and predicaments that the characters get into.

A classic Christmas movie! Very funny. Can watch over and over

This is a story of a kid growing up in the late 1940s looking forward to Christmas and in particular desiring his parents/Santa/whoever to get him a Red-Rider BB gun for Christmas. Presents all the foibles of a not perfect family, town and world. The thing that makes it work is that we see the story through the adult narration of the kid. Not the greatest of Christmas movies but a classic nevertheless. And the Best Buy price was about $8 for the DVD so it was a bargain.

The front cover reminds me of my hubby!! Who actually purchased the video for our child who loves it as well!! Great video to add to the collection!

Picture looks very good but I don't think blu-Ray added any more to this feature than my standard DVD version. Still fun to watch.
