I was hooked from the start!! Witches and vampires and demons this makes for some great story telling! Watching the lead character Diana and Matthew dance around their forbidden love and the powers she has which are coming to the surface all while being chased by other witches and vampires makes for some great storytelling! Everyone who enjoys characters like this should be watching this series!!!!! The new season is supposed to be starting mid year so it’s not too late to catch up on the first season before the second season begins!

I love this show. It came from the Deborah Harkness ( I hope I have spelling right) Trilogy of souls. I wanted to see this on TV but it is one you have to pay extra to get the plus. I made mistake of buying it right after seeing 1st season on TV but DVDS would NOT PLAY HERE IN USA. But this one from best buy did plY in USA I just had to wait another 2 months to own.

I enjoyed A Discovery of Witches season mostly due to the excellent performances and sets. I would say that the story might be where any weakness rests, though I enjoyed that for the most part as well. Deborah Harkness' book series has some really obssesive fans,which was discussed at length online, and caught my attention and interest enough to desire buying the series on disc. Picture quality was excellent throughout, a d the soundtrack was good enough to be fully immersive without attracting undue attention to itself. I'll be keeping an eye out for the next season coming out on disc with some excitement!

It's been several months since I first saw this show, so when I found it on blu-ray, I grabbed it immediately. Theresa Palmer is fantastic and gorgeous, as always, as are the rest of the ensemble. I binge watched the complete season, and would very happily have watched another, if only there were a season two.

This is my favorite book, so I was nervous I wouldn’t like the series because the book is always so much better. To my surprise, they have done a great job in telling this wonderful story. The actors are also fantastic and keep you entertained from beginning to end. I can’t wait to see season two!

Initially I wasn't interested in watching another vampire witch werewolf series but the story is good and the characters are interesting and I found myself drawn into this show. I'm glad I watched it and I can't wait until the next season

Love this series!! Great adaption of the novel. Sets and scenery were amazing. Matthew Goode and Teresa Palmer are the perfect selections for the lead characters - excellent chemistry.

I enjoyed this series all the way through wish it was longer than 8 episodes. I would recommend this to anyone who like stories with a forbbiden romance and super natural elements. Can't wait for series 2.

This blu-ray plays beautifully. Wonderful picture and sound. The story, locals, scenery and wardrobe/costumes are intricate and impressive.

Greatest love story meets adult Harry Potter! The characters are complex and real. Diana and Matthew are the perfect couple despite the fact that Witches and vampires are mortal enemies.

Love this book series made into a television series. So happy to find the Blu-ray set at an affordable price and to top it all off, it arrived sooner than expected.

I bought this for my wife. She really enjoys it. Says it has a good mystery and also suspenseful and entertaining. The blu ray transfer looks really good, as it should for a newer show.

This is a fun story. I really hope they continue the series and it doesn't fizzle like so many other strong started series. An interesting take on the supernatural world.

If you a fan of the book series than go ahead and check this out. If you are just a fan of sophisticated fantasy, characters and beautiful locations than check this out as well. A binge worthy first season based on the All Souls trilogy. Really enjoyable series. The series does the characters justice, more so than I can say for other shows.

A Discovery of Witches Season One is a story of discovery and of love. It is a beautiful story of a witch and a vampire.

I loved the books for this series, so I couldn't wait for the movies to come out. This is almost as good as the books and worth watching. Definitely recommend.

Purchased the TV series Blu-Ray for my daughter for Christmas. She loved it and we watch the show as a family. Waiting for Series 2.
