A Lovely Way to Die (1968)stars Kirk Douglas as a copy who quits the force based on his belief that the department is not letting him do his job properly. He eventually ends up being hired to be the bodyguard of recent widow Sylvia Koscina who is being accused on her husbands murder. He was hired by her attorney wonderfully played by Eli Wallach. The film the have the normal twist and turns as Douglas attempt to figure out who the murderer is. Film was OK but not great. Eli Wallach in my opinion stole the show with his portrayal of the defense attorney. recommended for fans of Film Noir detective films and Kirk Douglas himself.
