      A Man for All Seasons covers one of the most interesting events in history; that of Henry VIII and his desire to rid his wife and marry Anne Bolyn. Thomas More, Chancellor, stands firm in his beliefs and refuses to compromise his beliefs. Great performance by John Scofield as More.

      I saw this movie back in H.S. Enjoyed it then and enjoyed it now. It deals with the political and religious intrigues of the time, so a little historical perspective will help the viewer understand the movie. Otherwise, the photography, acting, and presentation of life in 16th century England are all fantastic. Enjoy!

      A Man for All Seasons is an Oscar winning superb production when Hollywood made outstanding, quality work. Robert Shaw is outstanding as always. Get a Blue Ray or higher version.

      We need more great classic Academy Award winning movies like this one in our day in age. Great script and plot. This is purely and simply a great movie.

      Outstanding movie and agree with the other reviewer. What a classic. Had no idea it won for best picture. Acting outstanding and the special feature on St. Thomas More was a great addition to the movie. A must see for High School history students.
