Armin's "A State of Trance 2015" is, in all honesty, a mixed bag with a few good tracks here and there in a sea of mediocre and unmemorable tunes. As the other review mentioned, this hardly qualifies as the trance music that us fans have come to know and love, but I'm not basing my review off of that alone. Even from an electronic music standpoint, many of the tracks simply fail to leave any memorable impact; I was tempted to hit the "skip" button quite a few times throughout these two CD's.
This is the worst entry in the ASOT series if I'm not mistaken.

What a disappointment! I love trance but this album is the worst I've heard in a long time. Nothing notable. Van Burin's best days are behind him. Every song has that increasing tempo/pitch trend garbage on it. I am literally throwing this CD in the trash. Better yet, I will burn it so nobody ever finds it in a landfill and thinks this is what good trance is.

A State of Trance 2015 (Mixed by Armin Van Buuren) is another solid set featuring various artists because of his vast feature of various artists across different songs such as Shine (Aly & Fila feat. Roxanne Emery),Mino Safy for When The Sun Smiles, Pegasus by Protoculture, The Edge by Orjan Nilsen etc. I also enjoy that the compilation starts of energetically with Going Home (Gareth Emery radio edit). There are other meaningful songs on A State of Trance 2015 collection by Armin Van Buuren (which is also good for those who are open to listening to trance/club music interspersed with spiritual/life themes).
