Tale of race and colonial politics in late 1940's Botswana. Based upon a true story where a Botswana Prince marries a UK woman. Political forces in the UK and Botswana work to sabotage the union. The story is about the struggles of the couple to stay together and political independence from the UK and South Africa. The actors and storyline were credible. This was worth a watch. Entertaining.

A story of which I was only slightly aware. The reality of the story, as depicted in the movie, was unsettling. The resolve of the couple to remain together through everything they endured is almost unreal. The lies and treachery from the government should never have happened nor been tolerated. The movie is very thought provoking and proves the idea that truth is stranger than fiction.

An excellent biographical movie that didn't get too much publicity but worth the money to add to your collection. Very heartfelt movie..excellent acting, moving story and well told. Helps you understand how far we have come and how much further there is to go.

Brilliant actors and a fascinating director, shows you, love may stand the test of time. This couple has a hard road to travel. Not only from the public but from their families. True love, may or may not prevail.

My wife and I were not able to see this movie in our local movie theater and am happy we were able to purchase it at a good price from BestBuy and am looking forward to watching it as often as we want.

This movie was based on a true story. It depicts one of many wonderful events in African History. It displays love, passion and commitment.

It was very interesting learning about Africa and how the British handled the people of Africa when the diamond mines were discovered!

I'm a sucker for a film based on a true story lately. The story drives this film. No real action packed scenes. Sometimes you just need a great story. Rosamund Pike is an absolutely beautiful woman.
