This isn't quite what you expect. It isn't great, but it feels like an original idea. The acting is good. Having been born and raised in the country's heartland, I didn't look too kindly on the suggestion that Jefferson Davis was working in league with the vampires. But that's about what we've come to expect from a Hollywood film. However, President Lincoln is treated with respect, so the producers get a pass. Overall, the film was fun!

Enjoyed this film. Granted, it's a fanciful story about Abraham Lincoln as a vampire Hunter. But that's what it supposed to be. The filmmakers give you an epic view in this telling. I thought it was very inventive, and a lot of fun. I don't think you'll be disappointed with the story or the action sequences that you see. I wish I'd seen it in 3-D. I purchased the 2-D version because I don't have a 3-D TV yet. I really enjoyed all of the actors in this movie. They made it seem very believable that Abraham Lincoln was a vampire Hunter. And the actor that played Abarham Lincoln did an excellent job. The movie uses extensive CG effects to help give you a grander scope then otherwise would be have been possible. The people that I've shown the movie too really enjoyed it. I think you will too, as long as you're not scared away by the title!

Not sure if I liked it overall. It held my interest and was interesting. Not for all audiences. Maybe specific taste.

Really haven't given this BOMB much time and effort. Going to re-watch it again when I have more time to spare. Like some of the Actors and silly themes. Was less intense than Spielberg's Academy Award winning take on Lincoln. Closer to the Jane Austin REBOOTS especially Pride & Prejudice meets ZOMBIES! See how Walking Dead Comics keep changing things and genres!

The movie itself is great, with great acting and cinematography and a good if somewhat boring plot. When you think of Abraham Lincoln, yes THAT Lincoln, you wouldn't really expect to hear his name in the same sentence of Vampire Hunter. Yet here he is, the same man that became president becoming a vampire hunter in his youth and hunting down the blood suckers. It's a good twist on American history with a lot of paranormal fiction mixed in.

I never paid much attention to this when it hit theaters but when I saw it on sale at BestBuy I thought I'd give it a shot since I just got a 3D tv and was looking to get a few more 3D titles. This movie was great! Way over the top with ridiculous scenes that delivered what I would expect from a movie titled Abraham Lincoln: Vampire Hunter! 3D added a nice touch to it as well. The technical presentation of the disc/3D was very good.

Just for clarification, I have not read the book, but I trust it is similar, owing to the fact the author also wrote the screenplay. I loved this film. It far exceeded my expectations. The BD picture is stunning and the cinematography is appropriately moody in all the right places. Even though it was filmed in 2D, I understand they planned for the 3D conversion process during production. The sound is also first rate. It puts you right in the action. I have already introduced a friend to it and am looking forward to showing a few more as well. If you liked the book, I understand the story is a bit thinner in the film, but what can you expect for a two hour romp. Highly recommended.

What if Abraham Lincoln was an axe wielding vampire hunter before he became president?

I thought this movie was fun but I probably wouldn't watch it more than once.

Not bad but not the best. Interesting plot twist. Could have done more.

In this historical/fictional action movie Abraham Lincoln is secretly hunting vampires as a threat to America. Once you accept the silly story it is a very fun and entertaining action movie. Visually it reminded me of the action from the movie "300". This version also comes with a HD Digital Copy that can be redeemed and streamed online through various apps.

This was actually an all right movie, the plot was so outrageous that I wanted to see it to find out what the hell it was. Everything was good, axe handling was cool, the only thing that bothered me was how young and nievee they portrayed the younh Abe, thats just my opinion though.

This is based off a book and a unique take on the events of Lincoln’s history as a boy, to meeting his wife, becoming President, and his impact on the civil war.
