I enjoyed this move greatly it is pure flight of fancy but if you take offense of the civil war being showed as a fight against evil and the south was evil then this is not for you. But this is a movie from a vivid imagination and not close to historical fact. So keep that in mind and enjoy fantasy with a twist.

Overall I enjoyed this movie. If it was not for the absolutely amazing 3D special effects in this movie, I probably would not have been able to stay as focused throughout. The story needed some work, but overall it was pretty good. If you have a 3D TV and player, I don't think you will regret seeing this.

Well, anyway, it would be kind of neat, in a terrifying sort of way, if it were the actual history. Truthfully, this movie is one of those ones that it is almost so bad that it ends up being good. Still I had a lot of fun watching this one. There were many over the top moments, but it is this over exaggeration that makes this movie what it is. An enjoyable, utterly ridiculous ride of temporary awesome! Of course, there are some parts that drag the film down a little and after the first viewing some of the wonder over the crazy wears off. Overall, all a good movie to watch if you like wild, uncontrolled and slightly insane stories. (Also, the steelbook is beyond lovely.)

Abraham Lincoln Vampire Hunter is such an awesome concept. It follows Lincolns rise to the white-house but along the way he is also a vampire hunter, it shows from the beginning why he becomes the way he is and it isn't as absurd as you might think, the movie is done very well. All the historical facts are there, dates, names, towns. Timur Bekmambetov from Kazakh directed, he directed american films Wanted, Ben-Hur and wrote the screenplay for Hardcore Henry

Great movie. The only problem I had with it was the digital copy of the DVD and not the movie itself. It had vampires and a US president, what more can I say. My code for the digital copy didn't work and I have yet to get an email response to correct the problem. Great movie otherwise.

What if Abe Lincoln used his axe to kill vampires instead of splitting rails? What if the South was populated by vampires who wanted to protect their food supply (slaves)? If these questions interest you, you might enjoy this somewhat silly horror flick. Just don't take it too seriously.

This is a great movie for special effects and creativity, however if you are looking for something to stimulate you intellectually this is not for you. If you like campy or Sci-Fi give it a try. I find it entertaining ad well worth the $4.00 Ispent on it.

This is a new twist on the often repeated vampire story. Abraham Lincoln a vampire slayer? I couldn't actually imagine how they were going to pull this off, but they did it in a very entertaining way. It wasn't very realistic, but it was an hour and a half of fun.

The story is good and worth watching, but the story makes a few major changes to vampires that are a sharp deviation from traditional vampires. Before watching the movie, I thought that I was going to hate it, but it turned out that after I watched it I liked it quite a bit.

Love historical fiction with a bit of horror? Then this is a movie for you! I really enjoyed this movie. I gave this 4 stars only because the book was just that much better.

In this film good ol' Abe is more than just President. He has a secret he's been keeping from long before that. He's been fighting a war between good and evil for years. He hunts Vampires. When i first watched this film i only half payed attention. There's a scene where he fights a Vampire in a stampede of Horses. The CGI in this scene spoiled the whole movie for me. But as i said i only half paid attention. Since its Blu-ray release my son has watched it. During his viewings i actually paid attention more and more. Though that scene is still a little lack luster this movie has grown on me.

Given the lukewarm reviews this movie received, I was hesitant to watch it. But I was plenty surprised by how good it is. I'm a huge vampire film fan (the Twilight movies don't count). And I really enjoyed this one. Great action, terrific special effects.

Let's face it, once you read the title you know exactly what to expect! This cornball tale is wickedly fun and equally obnoxious! Watching Lincoln slay the undead sparked a giddy excitement within. Check it out, just remember to turn off your brain.

Fun, if ridiculous, concept (I believe there was a whole series of books rewriting history and/or fiction like this). Some of the 3D effects are cheesy if not expected, but was not looking for an Academy award type movie here.

Abe Lincoln's life is interweaved with the absurd. The movie is supposed to be about Lincoln hunting vampires, but he doesn't hunt a lot of them. In fact, there's not a lot of vampires in the movie period. The movie tries to hit some of the iconic historical moments in Lincoln's life, and uses the vampires as a plot device to explain some of the tragedy that his family endured. The movie also felt rushed when Abe was hunting vampires, but seemed to slow when dwelling on the historical aspects of his life. This doesn't mean the movie is not enjoyable. If you are looking at this, your curiosity is probably going to get the best of you. Rent a copy first, or borrow from a friend, then decide.

Interesting to see how the book/movie writer portrayed the South as the "evil" group vampires and those that are North are the representation of the moral good. Not what I expected when I read the book, and enjoyed the movie as well.

I have slowed my pace in purchasing physical content of movies - like DVD’s and / or BluRay Discs, mostly because of the cost. When I noticed one of My favorite Movies on BluRay as well as Digital Copy Combo for such an inexpensive price, i jumped at the opportunity to proudly place this in My collection! There’s nothing cheep about the Disc, and I enjoy watching it to this day.

It seems Abraham Lincoln was a protector in more ways than one. Was actually a really good movie. My teenagers really liked it, and I was surprised about the Abe facts they mixed in with the movie, Vampires, Scary and Entertaining.

Thoroughly enjoyable, not meant to be taken seriously ... fun ... exciting ... 3D effects are not impressive, but ... I like it for the added depth of the picture. Good acting with good costuming and elaborate sets.

I enjoyed this rewriting of Abraham Lincoln's life. It managed to hit most of the historic events and set the story line so they still flowed naturally to the next one. Puts an interesting new spin on the Gettysburg Address as well.
