I purchased the game due to the preorder bonus of Ace Combat 6: Fires of Liberation. I never got to play it since it was an Xbox exclusive. I remember playing the Ace Combat series on my PS2 back in the day. It's partly simulation and arcade like gameplay. It's not complicated in the controls and gameplay. If you've played any of the Ace Combat games in the series and enjoyed it, then you will probably enjoy this as well. The game looks great on the Xbox One X. For the most part, the game feels and runs smoothly. I don't really play the game for the story, but mostly for the feel of flying a jet aircraft in combat. There were some issues with the pre-order bonuses when the game first released, but it was solved the following days after posting on the Best Buy forums.

Good story line that continues with the series. Easy to learn controls, fun to play. Rated teen for a little language and mild violence but I allow my 10 year old to play and he likes the challenge and is able to complete missions. He is currently outranking my fiancé.

Graphics and gameplay are great. Typical storyline for the Ace Combat Series but it provides a nice narrative to the mission arc. Aircraft tree provides good customization options. Definitely worth picking up for Air Combat fans.

The game plays very similar to Ace Combat's of years past but with a slightly new story. This was a purchase made during Black Friday for a cheaper rate and I dont think I would recommend purchasing for the normal price of $60.

I remember when ace combat first appeared , I loved to play the game over and over as well as its subsequent later additions. this one is no different. it still has a nice storyline and some fantastic looking aircraft

I love this game, the graphics are out of this world.

I started playing this series with Ace Combat 6: Fires of Liberation and have remained a fan ever since, I recommend buying this one because it doesn't disappoint and scratches my air combat itch. It's strikes a balance between realism and arcade gameplay, you can adjust the difficulty and also offers a variety of plane types. I have spent over a hundred hours playing it and had a lot of fun. I love the graphics and sound effects, there is nothing like a plane exploding when you hit it with a missile or bullets. The controls take a while to get used to, but you can also change the control scheme. I don't have anything negative to say except the AI can be erratic at times.

Haven't played the series in quite some time. Visuals are really good and the game play is fun, but can be a bit tough in some areas. MP matches are actually fun, but kind of hard to master. Overall pretty good game.

This game is incredible. The sound, the graphics even the story is interesting at times. I love fighter jets so maybe I'm a bit biased but this game is just fun to go in and blow up stuff!

Love this game series. Story is always good. Som emissions are just too long and no real way to know how much further until a save or completion.

Despite not being optimized for the One X, this game looks and plays fantastic. Controls are tight, visuals are stunning, and most of all it's a fun ride.

...and better than ever. Its so nostalgic playing AC again. I have played and loved previous iterations and ill add this to my list. As expected, graphics are fantastic with unique gameplay. There are many games like this in the genre and this game really does what it does very well. Easy to pick up and play at the same time, you can challenge yourself by tweaking the controls and difficulty for a more simulator vibe than an arcade feel.
