I love Ace Ventura. My only negative is they cut out one scene from the movie. The scene where Ace comes out of the tank talking with a heavy german accent and tells the media that hes a special trainer of dolphins was completly cut out

ace Ventura is one of the funnest movies that jim carry has ever made i saw this back in the 90's in theaters and laugh so hard from start to finish bc it is so funny and all around good comedy so if you want to see a funny comedy than watch ace Ventura and all i can say is the sequel is ok at best but no where near as good as the first one so check this one out and if you can find it on blu-ray for 10 bucks or under i would pick it up

'Ace Ventura: Pet Detective' is a hilarious film, and I highly recommend it. Unfortunately, this dvd has a couple things going against it. The first is that it's not widescreen, and secondly, it adds in footage that wasn't in the original theatrical release. The footage is ok, but it belongs on its own deleted scenes segment, not in the actual feature. If you're going to buy this dvd, save money and buy both Ace Ventura films in the more recent 2-disc boxset.

This is a great movie. Jim Carrey has done it again in this comedy. He is a pet detective and gets called upon to help find the Miami Dolphins missing mascot. This movie has a great plot and will make you laugh for a long time. Great for anyone and an awesome movie.

I have watched and enjoyed this movie numerous times. Although i find the movie funny, each time i watch it, it isn't as funny as the time before. I feel that it is overall a good purchase, but it is not a movie that can be watched over and over again like classics such as Monty Python and the Holy Grail.

Non stop funny in this movie. Jim Carrey's performance rocks and it ends up becoming a prequel to another great Ace Ventura movie. Even my parents liked it!
