I am super happy with my new laptop after just the first couple months. The unit works quickly and efficiently for your surfing needs and minor work necessary on a computer. I cant speak to other options with the laptop but if you are just looking to surf, work emails, youtube, etc... you cant go wrong with this for the price..

I was hoping to get a laptop that would help me focus on writing and not on searching the web or game playing. While of course you can still search the web on this, I found that if I limited myself to google applications (word, excel, etc) then it was perfect for what I wanted. I can't download the games I usually play so it takes that away entirely and since it is linked directly to my google account, I can work on writing on ignore its other amazing features my friends get so excited about. Even when I don't have internet access, it saves everything offline so I can work whenever and wherever. I suppose it depends on what you are looking for, but for a hobby/work device that restricts game play, it was perfect for me! Quick, reliable, easy to use

This chromebook is very good for light internet browsing, working on documents, and other miscellaneous things that don't require too much power. That being said, having too many tabs open or having for example music from Google Music playing and a YouTube video loading in another tab will cause some slowdown. This particular model isn't equipped with a powerful processor so you'll have to try and keep a minimum of tabs open. This doesn't apply however if the tabs you have open are mostly just text, as they don't take up more power than a flash content-filled site. I LOVE the build of this chromebook, as it's so lightweight and compact. Also a huge plus for me is that it doesn't get burning hot or make any noise at all. The battery life is pretty good as well. The webcam that is on the device isn't of the best quality but in good lighting conditions it does its job. Overall, a very good device to have if tablets aren't your thing (especially if your phone already has a large 5.4 inch screen and don't need an even larger version of it). Also, if you already have a powerful desktop that you use at home like I do and don't want to feel guilty of buying another PC laptop, get this instead.

Bought this as my 12 year Olds first laptop. He has had no trouble figuring out how to run it as well as the ease of connecting to wi-fi any where he goes with it. Love the fact that it's white so it can be customized in any way he chooses. great laptop for the price

Bought this for the kids who are always fighting over the computer to get school work done. It makes it easy that the kids use Google apps for school and for work processing, browsing the web and watching YouTube, it does the tricks. No complaints a the price we got them.

I bought one of these for my mother. In the past she has had problems with the various computers she has used. We bought her this one and she finds it easier to use and quicker. We are very happy with our purchase!

Love this thing. I have an ipad mini which I use mainly to surf the internet. I now use this 80% of the time. It can do everything my ipad does (except games). Really love a physical keyboard, great battery life, boots right up and easier to place (lap, table, etc) than a tablet. Only complaint I have is screen resolution. With everything being so hd nowadays, you will definitely notice, especially watching videos. But I do know they make chromebooks with better screens. Best Buy matched the price I found at another store so the value was great. I can't complain

My son got one for Christmas, and I recently bought myself one. It is so easy to use. The battery life is amazing. Much better than a laptop, I like that it doesn't get hot.

nice little laptop with good speed. this is not a full blown machine but something nice and simple for the task i want. if you just want to web surf and do it anyplace without carrying a monster., this is it.

I bought two of these when they were on sale at Christmas for my twin 15 year old boys. These laptops are perfect for them as all there work is done through Google docs. It is lightweight which makes it easy for them to take to school and carry around the house. This is a really nice laptop and I am happy with its performance.

This is just what my son needed to get help with his homework and works great. He uses it everyday for schoolwork and looking up things on the internet and watching videos

Needed something light with a long battery life for a middle school child. This more than fit the bill for great price

I bought this chrome book to use at home so i didn't always have to be in the office when working. This size is perfect; the keyboard is full-size. The chrome book is small and easily portable. I'd suggest buying the case to carry. I bought this on a Black Friday deal and have never regretted it at all.

Perfect size for my 1st grader. And the price is excellent. Great tool for Internet only. No apps. Everything is online now. Haven't had any issues with viruses!

Our organization uses Google apps. It was great to power on this device, connect to wifi, login to my Google accounts (both personal and work) and have all my stuff available. Two things to be aware of: 1. Offline apps are separate and need to be downloaded if you will not have Internet access. 2. The Google Cloud Print service is not available to set up the on any mac device running Yosemite. Google is aware of the issue but no fix yet (March 2015).

Have been looking at chrome books for quite awhile and finally took the plunge. This was partly due to great price (this item was not listed as open box, refurbished but had a price far less than usual 200 dollar range). Other reason was that I cut loose cable several months back and was looking for some way to bring content to flat screen tv. I realized most of what I watched on cable was also available on the internet. I started to use the HDMI to connect to tv then finally got chromecast plug-in. How convenient! Another cable cut. All-in-all, great little "laptop" and with HD antenna in the attic, not enough time to actually watch everything that is available without cable.

This was a Christmas gift for my 5th grade son. He loves it. Perfect size to carry plus view. He plays games and writes papers on it. Searches the web for school. It's been a perfect personal computer for him. Long lasting battery too.

I bought this Chromebook in order to have a light, travel-size laptop with long battery life for personal and professional use. So far it has done everything and more for what I need!

I wanted a simple, light laptop with a keyboard that I could fly with and compose on the flight and in coffee shops. This was perfect. Syncs with Google docs online, and I can transfer to my desktop for hard-core editing. Email on the go. No effort at all to start, no set up. Love it.

it's very fast, get to the internet in less than 10 seconds; it's so lightweight and portable; and even though it's small, you can read and see everything easily, and it's one step to enlarge. the touchpad makes it so easy to move around. really great.
