Works very well for needs of teenager using it...she uses Google for most school work, so this has been a perfect fit.

This has been great for everyday use such as emails, web surfing, etc. The Google extensions that work with chrome cover all of my needs, e.g., finance reporting, news, weather, etc. The battery life of this Acer has been impressive. I only use it an hour or two a day but the battery only needs to be recharged about once a week. Watching videos, e.g., YouTube works very well although I realize that this may depend more on my internet service than it does on the Chromebook.

This is handy and good if you just surf the net, have little Documentation work and are not a fan of touch screen as it does not have one. Anyways its a good product.

Bought the Chrome book for our daughter - she wanted something light for taking notes at school. She loves it and the Google docs - easy and fits right in her back pack.

Bought this for my wife so she would have a way to access the web for emails and home banking without needing much support from me. So far, pretty good. The only issue I've got is generic to Chromebooks: you can't just plug the laptop in to a network or a printer and print something out. Your printer has to support Google cloud printing, which mine is too old to do. I'll probably be building a Raspberry Pi based print server for that purpose. That's somewhat cheaper than getting a new printer.

This was a deal of the day. The first chromebook I received in the mail had physical issues with the touch pad (seemed like they sent me a floor sample). Took it into my local Best Buy and the replaced it with no problems. Overall great little laptop for the home to share between family members. It's my first chromebook and will probably not be my last. Acer did a great job on this device.

Acer Chromebook is easy in use, light weight, handy.I bought it week ago, I don't have battery problems so far, it works good.

I love Chromebooks and these are great little laptops that get the job done and more. As long as you don't need to install something that is windows specific this will work wonderfully. I check my email, watch movies, I even edit videos on youtube! If you need an extra computer this is so great. We even use readingeggs and asdreading on it for the students I teach. Now the one thing is that it doesn't have a touch screen, which I do use a lot on Khan academy for the scratchpad. But if you have never used a touch screen on a laptop then this laptop will be great for you.

I bought this Chromebook for my husband, he uses it to research hobbies and projects that he is working on. He likes that it is lightweight and easy to use.

My 10 and 12 year olds are thrilled with their new Chrombooks. So light weight and the battery charge last a really long time! Great buy at the holidays.

The Acer Chromebook has proven to be pretty much everything that I hoped it would be. The set up is simple - I think I could have done it myself and saved the fee charged by Best Buys to turn it on and download a few apps. It is certainly fast and it gives me access to the things that I want from a computer - basically email and word processing for journalling. I have found I also have access to youtube and Netfix movies and Amazon. I can listen to rock music and watch concerts with decent sound. But I tried to download something off a link to a forum in Thailand and the computer went kind of weird. The list I had wanted to download never arrived but the message, "Downloading in progress - sure you want to exit?", kept playing on my screen for days. At Best Buys they told me "that almost never happens," when I asked if the computer could be hacked - have some malware that came along with the link I had tried. They suggested I Power Flush the machine. I started that process but after I Restarted the computer first the message disappeared. Of course there is no CD player with the chromebook - you just have to accept this - get an external player if it is important to you. Another thing that is lacking is Skype. I have tried to download this app. and it is not supported, or blocked. I bought the chromebook thinking it will be more suitable for traveling when I go on the road again. But I wouldn't mind having skype - so that I could check in with my S.O. while en route to see if we both are on schedule to meet up. Meanwhile I still use my older HP laptop for skype and I find the 14" screen gives a better picture for viewing concerts, and movies too, and I find that it is less easy to read ebooks from Amazon on the chromebook - so I am using the old HP for that too. In summary it is surely worth the price and even for people with more money available to spend on a computer, the chromebook is certanly worth comsidering.

I bought this for my kids and now I find I'm using it just as much as they are. It has great battery life that last a couple of days. Just make sure you have a printer that hooks up to Google Cloud Print because you cannot plug a printer into this Chrome OS laptop or access it directly over your network without using Google Cloud Print.

It's very light and is charged for a long time. I had to buy attachments, micro flash disc and adapter to save and transfer my pictures from cell phone to chromebook.

My daughter uses it for school work and has adapted quick. Never had to worry about battery life. I still can't believe how fast it starts up. I want one.

OK needed a step up from a tablet but we didn't need a laptop or another desktop. This fit what we needed perfectly it allows for working on online projects and offline as well and can access the same files as our desktop through the Google drive or by sharing one of the 3 external hard drives we own. The reason for four stars instead of five is the fact that instead of a caps lock button it has a search button for someone using it for writing on the go it is annoying.

My children requested an XBOX for Christmas, I purchased two Chromebooks instead and together they were cheaper. My boys, ages 6 and 8 are in public school and even there they use Chromebooks. Instead of sending my children off to the desktop computer in the house, it made good parenting sense to purchase them their own laptops in order to do school work such as: online programs the school assigns as homework, researching topics for homework/projects, watching videos that explain complex topics. I set up their laptops using "supervised accounts" via gmail, so I am able to control and view the urls they are visiting. With this control, I am able to block content and urls that I don't want them on. Because both laptops are white, I purchased sticker overlays for them which highlight each one of their personalities. I got the overlays from Ebay and paid no more than $5 for each (includes shipping). There was a great deal on Black Friday - $149 each, but I would have paid $200 each. It was a great investment.

This is an amazing computer especially for the amazing price that I got it for as an open boxed unit. My partner loves it as it is all he needs to surf the web.

This was my first laptop and I love it. It's so easy to use. It's super light and the battery lasts a long time. I'm actually writing this review on it!

This Book boots up in seconds, works great !! Perfect for school work as well

Bought this as a gift for my technologically-challenged dad. He finds it very user friendly -- and much quicker than his older piece of technology.
