This Chromebook works great for watching videos, web surfing, and most things relating to school, since most schools use Chromebooks for student accounts. Easy to finish and submit homework and projects. You are NOT able to play some of the more popular games. *SOMETIMES YOU CAN DOWNLOAD THEM BUT STILL ARE UNABLE TO ACTUALLY PLAY THEM* because Chromebook will not allow a few important applications to run on their system. (i.e. Minecraft). If your looking to play any type of game, I would find a non-Chrome laptop. Otherwise this is very useful for students, beginner laptop users or web-surfers.

I bought this laptop for our training / conference room because it has HDMI output. When hooked to our projector everything worked flawlessly. I can't say the same for other expensive laptops that we had to change settings on just to get to work. At this price we just leave it in conference room. All of our training videos are on line so storage capacity was not important to us. Bluetooth allows us to use keyboard and mouse from anywhere in room. Excellant value

Bought for my 13 year old. He loves it. Uses it all the time, especially for school since the teachers use Google applications extensively. Good investment.

This seems like a good valuehowever when I really got down in the weedsI understand this computer is best at surfing the webrather than downloading applications and functioning as a laptop

If you're only looking for email and web searches, it's a great computer, but if you want to be able to download apps like a tablet from Play Store or the Nook app, forget about it. You can download only the apps in the Chromebook store. I assumed that since it was Chrome OS that you could download any app in Play Store, but not. When Chromebook comes out with that option, I will reconsider. It was extremely light and fast but not what I thought. I should have done more research. I'm fed up with windows and I think Apple is overpriced.

Got this for a grand daughter who is starting college in 2 weeks and she loves it. She has used this model during her high school years so is well acquainted with how it works.

When I enlarged the font so it was more readable it lowered the resolution. I Thought the 1080 resolution for movies would be so much better than most Chromebooks at 1366 by 768. I returned this Acer Chromebook and purchased the Asus C300 with lower resolution and 13.3" matte HD Display at 720 P resolution. My netflix movies look great and the matte screen is good in both low and high light. I also prefer the black color of the Chromebook vs. the white.

We replaced our 6 year old laptop with this. This is our first chromebook. We bought this because Microsoft laptops always seem to get viruses and chromebooks supposedly do not so we figured we would give it a try. We've had it for a month now and are happy with our purchase. The internet is fast and reliable. The only downside is that you can't open multiple sessions at the same time or the internet seems to slow to a crawl.

Live this chromebook. I was a skeptic before I tried it but really I can do all I need or could do with a PC. Personally like the idea of cloud storage for pictures and docs. Chromebook starts up quickly has individual user settings to keep personal data secure. Love the look, Great sound and diaplay.

if you are looking for a laptop for basic functions, great battery life and instant starts this is the laptop to have. No worrying about driver installs, virus's or you kids messing up the os. Comes with 1tb Google drive so you can use with all mobile devices.

My husband was looking for a really easy laptop replacement to use in his retirement. This is the perfect choice. It comes on quickly and is lightening fast. It is a great edition to our digital devices. My darling husband loves it. Sleek and sophisticated.

My 4th grader is very picky and particular about her electronic devices. In order to give her something other than my MacBook to play on, something more affordable yet still stylish, I chose this Acer Chromebook. We couldn't be happier with the purchase. Lightweight, powerful, starts up right away. She loves this over our more expensive PC laptop. The only downside is that the Chromebook can't play the full version of MineCraft. Hopefully google will work that out soon. We have another chromebook in the house, but this one is fancier, faster, and more similar to a Mac at 1/5 the cost.

This is a modest chromebook, but it has everything done right, which makes it a great product in it's class (low-mid range chromebooks). To put it simple, the CPU is faster than the Bay-Trail intel Celerons, screen is large with enough pixels to display many web contents, battery runs amazingly long, light enough to carry around, and is overall built at a good quality with decent look. The biggest con is the color and view angle of the display -- it's no comparison to the IPS panels, and even looks worse than many TN panels in my opinion. Personally this doesn't hurt my use, since I mostly use it for text, which is perfectly fine. But you'd better see it in store before you buy if you want to play game or do video/picture watching intensively on it.

I purchased 3 different chromebooks. 1 for each member of my family. HP 14" for my wife, acer 11.6" for my 11 year old daughter, and the acer 13 cb5-311 for myself and have put all three through the paces and I must say I am most impressed with the acer 13. Great screen, (though not the greatest viewing angle as most chromebooks are) full 1080p, excellent trackpad, unmatched battery life, nice firm keyboard, fanless and stays cool, boots in 5-7 seconds, superb performance during heavy usage, attractive design and color. Only complaint thus far is the webcam is subpar. I would easily recommend this chromebook to anyone who wants excellent quality and performance for a great price.

Chrome OS is odd at first. I felt kind of limited by its features for the first day I had the chromebook. After viewing some tutorials and reading other reviews i learned some of the cool little tips n tricks you can do, also gained some knowledge on more of its capabilities. The CHROME REMOTE DESKTOP app allows me to remote into my work station and utilize all the software I have on it, so that made it really nice for me! Great tool for web browsing and taking notes! Chrome OS is basically all cloud based, so be prepared to keep it around WIFI (not a big deal now a days). Battery is awesome! Never have to worry about it! The machine itself is quick, it opens apps (chrome, skype, photos, media) pretty quickly. So far, it doesn't seem to have slowed down at all. I paid $135 for mine (open box) and it has been worth every penny. The screen is OKAY at best, it looks like the cheap-o DVD player we use in our van for the kids...but hey, that's alright with me! The HDMI output is located in the back (which I like) and using a second monitor (or projector/TV) is a breeze. I've been a little worried because of the white finish (i work and use this in a warehouse) but so far it has cleaned off nicely, and still looks nice and white haha. The camera on this is kind of pointless right now (skype doesn't support it/ or vice versa), but could be a nice feature after some updates. Sorry for rambling, just wanted to give this two thumbs up!

Great screen, no glare, bright and loud, thin and light, great build quality, best bang for your buck, smooth, no lag, used more as a browser and multi media tool.

I don't think this on was good as I think but it realy works for my friend. he lovs it.
