Long Boot Time

Only complaint is when it powers up, ie computer comes out of sleep mode or at turn on, there are 2 splash screens. First says Acer and second Energy Star. Thus long time before desktop appears. Some suggest this can be changed in the service menu, but I can't find how to get into that. Acer is of no help.
