The laptop didn't have a monitor port, just a HDMI. The very helpful employee at Best Buy, pointed out this one can take a HDMI with a converter cable. All in all a far cheaper choice then the lowest level HDMI monitor. It does a great job. Thanks to the knowledge of that employee.

Functional value for money

They are a great price and allowed me to quickly and cheaply set up my desk for a complex project. You do get what you pay for. When they are right next to a Mac screen you can see the basic colour and brightness you are getting. The screens don't perform equally against each other either. No matter what setting adjustments you make one always has less colour and crispness than the other. If you need a basic screen at a great price then I highly recommend this item. If you are looking for high resolution vivid images then you will need to spend the extra $.
