I was looking for a higher resolution display for my laptops. Saw a good one, Acer G257HU smidpx 25" 16:9 IPS Monitor, at B&G Photo, for $250. Went to Best Buy store and even though they didn't have it on display they matched the price and got me one in two days. Extremely satisfied with my new purchase.

Wanted a multi input monitor to switch between a mac and pc, good screen but I find switching between desktops a little clunky..

This monitor is crisp and clear, the colors are bright and true. It is about as big as I could go for a dual setup on my desk. It is making the other monitor (also an Acer) look a little shabby -- might be time to upgrade that one to match! The narrow edge border is a nice look and well-suited for a dual monitor setup. The stand is not height-adjustable.

Although I ordered black and got silver I am keeping this monitor. The resolution and brightness are outstanding and it has all the connections one would need. There are no VESA standard provisions for mounting however just so you know.

I use this monitor with my MacBook Pro. The resolution is great, the picture is bright. The only thing I don't like is that the built in speakers are somewhat tinny and the volume is difficult to adjust (must be adjusted on the monitor itself). For the price, I would buy this again.

It does the job. I like the overall design. Good resolution.

I've been using the monitor for a little over a month. So far I'm very happy with the purchase. The only negative I've uncovered are the power/menu buttons on the monitor. They're a little awkward to operate but I think that should improve with time.

I bought this monitor to help with photo editing. Picture is clear and provides a large enough image to edit photo images easily

My wife is using this monitor as a 2nd monitor to her laptop and so far so good

Got this monitor cheap for work. I needed something with IPS (I cannot go back to TN), matte finish (I hate glare on my screen), and at least 1080P. This monitor fulfilled all my requirements and it's been great at work.

The reason I didn't give it 5 stars is b/c of the limited settings for positioning the screen. Other than that, it's all you need for a true life like monitor.

A beautiful monitor at the 1440p resolution. I didn't realize things could look this crisp and clear.

I was tired of using dim monitors. This one was rated at 300 lumens. It lives up to its rating.

Monitor itself is good, I just wanted a 144hz one so I did return it.

Excellent monitor, the colors are bright, text very readable, even with 100% scaling (Windows 10 defaults to 125%) and the smaller size (25 inches instead of 27) only makes the pictures look clearer. The only two cons are 1) there is a problem with the display port input when using Win10, but you can find 2k hdmi and DVI cables that can resolve that. 2) I wish Acer would have made these monitors VESA capable, but there are DIY instructions online for "hacking" it (though it is easy, it will void your warranty).

The monitor itself is fine. The speakers are not great. The monitor base is flimsy, and it will not tilt. I emailed and called tech support. I spoke to a pleasant man from another country with poor comprehension. He said he could not send me the missing user guide. He referred me to a part support company for a base that tilts. That woman said that there was no such part.

This display would be a perfect value if not for the absence of a VESA-compatible mount. The stock pedestal lacks a height adjustment. Otherwise this would have been five-stars.

This is a very nice monitor for photo processing and working in general. It replaced my 27 inch 1920x1080 monitor which was nice but a little grainy with my Mac mini (resolution wasn't high enough for that size monitor). This monitor has just the right balance between size and resolution. Text is nice and crisp, and photo detail is spectacular. Very happy with this monitor for this price.
