awesome monitor
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.OKAY-first off i bought from an online competitor,i have had this monitor for over a year now-i have had absolutely no issues at all with it-it is by far the best monitor in it's class-easily beating all competition in features and longevity, Now this isnt a monitor that gets limited use,it is pretty much on 24/7,i am disabled and spend a lot of time in bed-i have a rig that i built-i wont go into specs, but it is a true competition gaming rig-in builds w/the 4790k Devils Canyon-i am in the top 2% in benchmarking according to HWBOT-i avg 155FPS-thats where the 144hz refresh and G-Sync come into play-this thing plays seamlessly and flawlessly,if you dont have a rig that can take advantage of its features dont waste your money, but if you do and can find 1 do not hesitate to get-like i said earlier it blows the competition out of the water-it's an IPS screen-2k -who needs 4k for their monitor-at 2k all games look fantastic-it does not have built in speakers-its a gaming monitor-most users will be wearing headphones-or if you dont play on teams get a good set of externals-the Klipsch set that i bought from Best Buy are a great purchase as well-i have nothing but good to say about them-see my review,it is also quite informative-i havent wanted to get stuck in a fixed viewing angle or might have gotten the 34" BenQ -at the time they were the only options-asus is not an option-no longevity to their products-it's like once they got their ROG certification their quality has become almost non existent-but they earned a spot on my "Do Not Buy" list But anyways if you can utilize the full functions of this monitor (yes it needs a monitor cable and not HDMI-if you want to use HDMI just get a 60hz refresh monitor-you won't get any better than 60hz refresh rate anyhow) get it-if not you are just wasting money-i would love to have 3 running-but thats WAY out of my budget-i hope this helps anyone on the fence,BTW G-Sync 144hz monitors have not advanced much if any above this-unless you want 4k but i cant justify the cost difference-just a cpl years ago 1080p was cutting edge, and such a step up-this is dbl that-do you really need that doubled?? games will only look so good and movies look phenomenal.I have 4k for my home theater-dont need here too-so theres my 2 cents (and then some) on this beauty
I would recommend this to a friend
