    This laptop is a bit large, with numerical keys on right side, so mouse pad is off center. Also, space bar key often will not space, so corrections become necessary. For the price, its ok.

    Over a span of 4 hours the system would not longer allow me to use my password to log in. After conversation with ACER, it was determined that the system would have to be completely reloaded, wiping out all my personalization (took me three days to set it up). I have never had this problem on any Windows based system (starting in 1991 with Windows 3.0). A minor problem is the offset key keyboard due to the inclusion of a numerical keypad within the fram of the laptop. Totally unnecessary from my point of view.

    We had bought a new laptop with windows 8.1 for my high school daughter, come to find out that windows 8 is not compatible with her schools security system and she couldn't use it at school. I was hesitant to purchase the Acer brand. We have found that it is very well made, sturdy for traveling back and forth with a teenager, light weight, and fast.
