Laptop works well. Have had for a few works and no issues. The only annoying part is the beep sound whenever you plug the charger in and take it out. Other than that great

For the price, this is an excellent laptop for productivity, media playback, and light gaming. Runs Windows 11, and is perfect to replace old hardware that will only run Windows 10. Performance is 95% of what you get from a $2k laptop for a fraction of the price.

I was looking for a laptop that could be used around the house that had a good screen and was reasonably light and provided decent performance. The laptop comes with the Intel i5 1334U processor which is a good compromise between performance and power consumption. It has 8GB of RAM and 256GB of SSD storage. The initial setup was straight forward. Once the updates were complete which took around 45 minutes everything else went very quickly. There are a lot of unnecessary apps that once removed improved the performance significantly. The screen is very clear and sharp. At 1980X1200 it provides a good amount of real estate. I was surprised at how fast this laptop starts up. Programs load very fast and perform very well. I am not a gamer so I can’t speak to that performance, but I would not think heavy gaming would be the best. Audio performance is decent. This is really a basic laptop suitable for checking emails, browsing the internet, watching videos and basic tasks. The laptop is fairly lightweight at just under 4lbs. and is a little on the thick side due to the number of ports it provides. The laptop comes with (2) USB-A, (2) USB-C, HDMI 2.1 ports and a headphone jack. It also comes with a webcam which works well. My wife has Zoom calls with her family regularly so this will be convenient. The keyboard has a nice feel to it and the trackpad is easy to use. There is also a numbers keypad. I have found the battery life to be on the short side. With only basic usage the laptop only seems to be getting around 6 hours. Charge times are fast at around 1.5-2 hours to fully charge. The overall build quality seems to be very good. Even though this laptop is primarily plastic it feels solid with almost no flex and should hold up well. Two things that should really be offered on a laptop at this price point would be a touch screen and a backlit keyboard. Speaking of the price point. The introductory price of this laptop is $599 and most recently it has been on sale for $399. Given the number of competitive laptops out there in the $600 price range that offer more RAM and more storage along with touch screens and/or backlit keyboards I would be hard pressed to recommend this Acer at $599 but at the sale price of $399 I think this is a very solid and good performing laptop that would serve most people very well.

In the computing world, there is a seemingly endless variety of options to choose from. The Acer Aspire Go 15 laptop is a great entry-level PC, with only a couple things I might change about it. One of the first things I noticed about this laptop is the weight. For a 15-inch laptop, it really is relatively lightweight. While the mostly-plastic build is not as nice as some more expensive offerings out there, it still feels solid and well-made. The hinge for the screen opens easily, and the smooth trackpad feels great. The keyboard is one aspect that I would like to see improved. As I sit here typing this review, I constantly miss letters because I did not press the keys hard enough. I don’t really know what the problem is, but perhaps there is just a bit too much travel in the keys for my taste. Overall the keys just feel “mushy” and not that engaging to use. Everything else about the Acer Aspire works well, even if the PC is a bit underpowered. With an Intel Core i5 processor and 8 gigs of RAM, I found this laptop to be well-suited for everyday computing tasks. If you're looking to use this computer for school work, office work, web browsing, and streaming, this has you covered. I can't imagine it would excel at gaming or more demanding programs. During these daily tasks, the Acer really shined. The 15-inch screen can display some gorgeous visuals, with great clarity, colors, and smoothness depending on the content. I never experienced any slowdowns or hiccups while using this as my daily driver, browsing the internet, working on Microsoft Office programs, or streaming movies and TV shows. I did think it was impressive that this laptop includes Copilot (with a dedicated button), although how useful you find that feature will be highly subjective. Other things I appreciated included the dedicated 10 key next to the keyboard, and a good variety of ports, with USB-C used for charging. The battery life seems exceptional based on my usage, and I rarely noticed the laptop even getting slightly warm while I used it. Besides the keyboard, I do wish this laptop had a bit more power and hard drive space. Yet I can't complain too much, as I suspect that increasing those things would push this laptop into a higher price bracket. Taking everything into consideration, this is a great laptop for daily use, and I do believe that Acer has made a quality product that offers incredible value. If you’re in the market for a laptop that can handle daily tasks with ease, the Acer Aspire Go 15 is worth checking out! Final Rating: 4 Stars – 1 star deducted for the keyboard, which I personally did not love

For as many years as I can remember, ACER has been part of my computing family which till this date has not disappointed. This product is a budget minded laptop that’s made for an everyday tasks. It has a 15.3-inch WUXGA (1920 x 1200) IPS display, an Intel i5-1334U processor, 8GB DDR4 RAM, and a 256GB PCIe Gen4 SSD. It’s perfect for web browsing, streaming, and in my case writing lots of reviews. The laptops screen is sharp and colors are vibrant. The speakers are ho-hum and have a “tinny” sound. I listened to several music videos and had the speaker volume set at 100% and it was far from “ear-blasting”. The laptops weight is neither light nor heavy and I would classify it as in the middle. As far as heat generation, I had have to say amazingly cool! The computer’s processor handled anything that I could throw at it as far as everyday tasks. Please keep in mind that the Intel Core 5 Series 1 is an entry level processor which really is basic in general. Heavy multitasking is questionable especially if coupled with various multimedia types operating simultaneously. The unit itself only has 8 gigabytes of RAM, however for general usage it’s fine. Gaming is probably out of the question but remember this unit is not a gaming laptop. The unit is not equipped with a vast hard drive space as it comes standard with a 256GB solid state hard drive. This laptop should appeal to budget-minded consumers who need a laptop for surfing the web and plain everyday tasks. Its performance is exactly as expected and has a really nice display. It’s a pretty good bang for the buck and it it holds as as good as my other ACER products have, I’ll be a happy consumer

This is an okay laptop. It covers the basics. Pros: Newer CPU Fast SSD FHD Copilot Wi-Fi 6 A lot of ports (more than enough USB ports) Expandable RAM DDR5 RAM Cons: Weak CPU (new but still weak) Low base RAM (8 GB is not enough nowdays) Only 256 GB of storage Integrated graphics (so no GPU-intensive tasks like gaming) Retail price ($700 for this is a big rip-off; you can buy a much better laptop for cheaper) No touchscreen (even much cheaper laptops nowadays have that) No fingerprint sensor No face recognition Made of plastic I wouldn't recommend it to anyone who needs it for work or college. 8 GB of RAM is not enough in 2025. Sure, you'll be able to run any computer just fine at 8 GB, but it will be slow (my PC with 32 GB of RAM uses 20 GB when idling). Just having multiple Chrome tabs open will fill up your memory quickly, which will lead to slow performance since the laptop will start using the SSD for extra memory, which is very very slow. Overall, this Acer - Aspire Go 15 Laptop is not a good buy at the price. Not taking the price into consideration, it's alright for basic browsing tasks.
