Customers enjoy the overall design of the Aspire Vero laptop. However, some customers have expressed concerns regarding the screen's brightness and the sturdiness of the laptop's construction, particularly the hinge and screen bezel. Issues with the screen's durability and the ease of opening and closing the laptop have also been reported. These concerns should be considered before purchasing.

The laptop is sleek and lightweight, making it easy to carry around and use on the go. It has a fast processor and ample RAM, allowing for smooth multitasking and speedy performance.
One of the standout features of the laptop is its keyboard, which is comfortable and responsive to type on. The touchpad is also quite good, and I appreciated the ability to customize its sensitivity to my liking. The laptop's speakers are ok.
However, there were a couple of areas where the laptop fell short. The battery life is somewhat disappointing, lasting only a couple hours before needing to be charged. This could be an issue for users who need to use their laptop for extended periods of time without access to an outlet. Additionally, the screen brightness is a bit lackluster, making it difficult to use the laptop in bright environments or outdoors.
Despite these drawbacks, I would still highly recommend the laptop to anyone in the market for a new computer. Its fast performance, comfortable keyboard, more than make up for the battery life and screen brightness issues. Overall, it's a great choice for anyone looking for a reliable and high-performing laptop.

The Good:
The combination of an intel i7-1255U (ultra low-power) CPU and 16gb DDR paired with a PCIe Gen4 SSD - mine a Western Digital SN740- mean this is a fairly capable laptop, for everyday use, productivity, and same light creative work. The 1080p 60hz display is reasonably bright and vibrant, with a good range of brightness from low to high.
The laptop's body is plastic and, while it doesn't feel as premium as an all-metal unit, it doesn't feel cheap or flimsy at all. I Love the unpainted, textured surface, and the slightly chunky aesthetic means it doesn't wobbly or unsteady. The pictures really do not do the visual appeal of this laptop justice.
The keycaps are made of 50% PCR (post-consumer recycled), and while the typing experience isn't as good as a dedicated mechanical unit, the keys have a nice, firm response and don't feel overly mushy. Deck-flex is present, but minimal. The ocean-glass trackpad, which is made of recycled plastic, is very nice, smooth, and accurate. The inclusion of thunderbolt 4 is a much-needed addition, one which lets you use a variety of docking stations and external GPUs.
The Bad:
The Intel Iris xe GPU and low-power CPU mean gaming is essentially a no-go, aside from the most casual or retro titles, as is any heavy-duty creative work. There's some very minor light bleed on the bottom of the display,
though it's not really enough to notice. The speakers fire down from the bottom of the unit, and are absolutely abysmal.
The "Your Mileage May Vary:"
The keyboard has some odd layout quirks, and the trackpad clicks can feel a little hollow. There's only 2 levels of backlighting on the keys aside from "off."

I got the laptop new from Best Buy. It seemed a bit cheaply made, but the computer itself was nice. However, the henges broke when the lid got opened all the way, which is considered accidental damage, and not covered by the warranty. If you get this laptop, be sure to buy the protection plan too.

I've been using this laptop for a little over 2 years, now, and I really like it. I purchased it after a lot of research because I didn't really have the money to waste on something that I hadn't vetted. I've been able to play the games I like on it, it runs Stardew Valley with all the expansions/mods really well. I had to use it consistently for a while when my graphics card in my desktop PC went out, and I had to get a laptop fan for it, but it ran consistently. I really like this laptop and hope to get more years out of it.

Nice laptop that is quick and works great. Keyboard with number pad is hard to get used to because of the unique layout. Reboots and starts from sleep mode very quickly.

Been using for about a month. I am a little disappointed with the battery life (6 hours on battery saver and 20% brightness) but overall it’s pretty good for the price (I got it on sale for $650).

I was quite upset that my Acer Aspire laptop froze during a system update with the fan running non-stop. The laptop was only 8 months old and previously was sent for repairs twice, with each repair lasting a month. In addition, earlier in the day I was to have a Zoom call with a doctor, and there was no camera detected. The system update began when I restarted the laptop to see if the camera would be activated. Mike Fernandez looked at the laptop’s tortured history, and consulted with Eric, the store manager. They offered to replace the defective laptop. I was so pleasantly surprised. Mike, Eric, and Zeh (spelling?) were all very helpful in helping me find a suitable replacement. I was resigned to be without my laptop for another month and take my business elsewhere. I previously let my Total Tech coverage expire because of prior poor setup & repair experiences with the laptop at another location. Mike, Zeh, and Eric renewed my faith in Best Buy. I even re-upped my Total Tech coverage.

Bought this Acer Laptop computer one year ago specifically for an online program/class that needed specific 'fast" specs - I use it daily - 5 days a week - and one year later is still running great. I do have it connected to TWO external monitors (using one HDMI and one Display Port) and the program is Data Intensive - this computer is fast and handles the data.

The laptop itself is really nice. Everything about it was good till it came to the speakers. It seemed like you couldn't use two applications at the same time. For example i could have youtube up playing music and if i opened zoom suddenly the speakers wouldnt work. Or sound would come through randomly. I thought maybe i got one that was defective. However when i returned it and got a new one i had the same problems.

Light and good graphics, performs welll. However the recycled plastic seems to be low quality. Screen hinge became progressive tighter to open, until frame around screen finally cracked, 10 months after purchase.
