    Powerful for the price

    Great little laptop, all hut the boot time is fast. Once windows loads everything is very responsive. Battery life is pretty good for a laptop that will game respectively, 3.5 hours I'm happy with. This was for my wife and she has been very pleased with it. And has voiced her opnion it was faster than her work provided machine with one of those mid level "I" processors.

    After getting an Acer laptop several years ago, the inverter on it died on me within a year and their warranty didn't cover it. That was a long time ago and I thought that I would give Acer another shot with this laptop. After setting it up and making an account on it, everything was fine and dandy, so I thought "Maybe Acer isn't as bad as I thought they were before", but I was dead wrong. This laptop stopped working on me after trying to power it on TWICE. It was stuck on a black screen with a mouse cursor for 10 minutes to an hour on multiple restarts. After researching the problem on several forums, I tested out multiple solutions from Microsoft, the Acer community, and users on YouTube. These ranged from restarting 'explorer.exe' to rolling back the video drivers to configuring the registry to pressing a reset button on the bottom of the laptop. None of these solutions worked, however, and if the only solution is turning on the laptop and waiting up to an hour for me to even use the thing, I'll just get a different laptop altogether. Long story short: save your money here and get a different brand like Dell or Lenovo.

    Terrible Hardware

    It worked great for about a week, but eventually began randomly losing internet connection for large chunks of time. Despite hours trying to fix this, the issue never really resolved, but I could work around it. Then it eventually decided it needed to "Repair Disk". It didn't get stuck in the infamous loop, thankfully, but afterwards the internet flat out refused to connect and the laptop slowed down dramatically. It was like I was running a 5-year-old machine that hadn't been cleaned for the duration of its lifespan. The machine is beautiful, and when it's not tripping up, it works well: fast and sleek. It does run a little hot, but nothing that could be considered a problem. However, with its apparent hard drive failure and issues connecting to the internet, it's just not worth the money. Will be returning for a different brand.

    Very confusing

    When I got the laptop I updated the bios and downloaded all the new drivers and started to play games like Ark and Far Cry 5 at medium to high settings but then I downloaded games like Gang Beasts and even Minecraft and they can barely run. Overall this laptop has been giving me a pretty hard time.

    Terrible internet problems

    The internet problems on this laptop are mindbogglingly frustrating. The speed is inconsistent - sometimes 90+ mbps download speeds and sometimes not even 1 mbps. The 90+ speeds are only possible and rarely achieved being right next to the router. The next problem with the internet is that when you're not close to the router ( I mean laptop in the same room as the router) it will disconnect itself from the wifi randomly. When you try to reconnect especially if you check the connect automatically box it'll fail to connect by saying no connections available halfway through. Found a little loophole to this by pressing the button on the router that lets you skip putting in a password when you connect. Good specs for the price but internet issues make me regret buying.

    Slow, Slow, Slow and did I mention slow?

    I was sold this computer from a best buy rep under the promise it will work well with photoshop and all the basic needs a laptop will perform. Within the first week of purchase, loading the internet became a hassle. Froze several times, even had to restart the computer multiple times. Photoshop would take minutes sometimes though lagging constantly. Extremely frustrating when your working and it constantly freezes. The camera is extremely blurry and slow as well. The only real pluses of the computer are the screen size, keyboard and design. Overall one of the worst computer purchases of my life.

    Good for browsing the web...

    To call this a gaming computer is not the right words I would ever use. To all the parents out there looking to buy their kid a "Gaming Laptop" do not buy this. I tried running Minecraft which is a pretty basic game on any device and even with the lowest settings set it failed to do anything. Every game I try running on this "Gaming Laptop" it lags terribly and crashes after just a few minutes.

    Booted to Blank Black Screen After Initial Setup

    Not a good laptop at all! After the initial setup, the machine booted to a black screen with spinning blue wheel. Wouldn't go any farther. I took it back immediately. No more Acer products for me!

    Brand new unit was defective out of box. Horrible fan noises, eventually stopped loading the windows home screen. Bad first impression on ACER products.
