Was looking for a replacement gaming laptop that wouldn't break the bank. Ultimately decided on AMD over Intel after researching benchmarks and real world performance. Felt that the price difference is worth it. You have more control over power consumption and battery life. Due note that there is a screen defect on start up and it is common to this laptop for some odd reason. Once the laptop starts up it disappears. Chalk it up to Acer inspection? Other then that the backlit keyboard is very nice and you can control th brightness as well. The nitro sense is really useful for managing heat. Compared to my old laptop this is definitely and upgrade in every aspect and for a decent price of $600. Worth every penny. Some things to consider: 256 M2 SSD (Not an issue for me & easily upgradable) 8GB Ram is 1 slot, open slot for another 8GB Ram

Thoroughly happy with this purchase. I was looking for a moderately priced gaming laptop. It completely fit my need. I'm not a hardcore gamer, but wanted something with more oomph than a regular laptop for when I did want to play a game or two.

This laptop is a beast. Its fast and the ssd it is quick. I love this gaming laptop. It has a red light up keyboard that is sweet. Tje laptop is not that heavy ethier so thats also a plus, and for 700 its a winner for me.

This is an excellent laptop. I use this for playing dota 2 and video editing. Works flowless. Only downside is internal storage but I am planning to expand by adding another ssd to it. Overall very happy with the purchase

A very reliable laptop! I use it for work and same gaming whenever I'm on the road. I do recommend upgrading the storage if you want to just this for a very long time. The speed and boot times of this are amazing as well!

It is able to keep up with my multitasking and video games. The battery life is low, but sometimes it does not feel so. It was a nice transition from my old laptop, and love the light up of my keyboard and the laptop design.

This is the first gaming laptop I've ever purchased, and it has definitely been worth it. My previous laptop, a Dell inspiron 1555, really struggled to run games like R6 Siege, Ghost Recon Wildlands, and even Halo, but this computer allows them to run very well at high graphics settings and resolutions (1080) with no screen tearing. I upgraded the onboard RAM to 16 gb and added a SATA ssd and every game with demanding graphics that I've tried to run plays incredibly well. Thing is, however, the CPU and GPU can get pretty hot during gameplay, but I believe that this is how the computer is designed to run. You can manually adjust the built-in fan's settings to compensate, though. I would definitely recommend this computer due to its price and upgradability!

The computer out preformed what I expected and was able to play some of the games in my steam library I have never been able to touch, the one down side was the only 256gb, use the included hdd install kit and a 500gb hdd

I absolutely love my laptop. I couldn’t be happier with it. It’s super fast and loads a lot faster then I thought. Def able to play Fortnite, among us, Minecraft and hold all 3 without deleting a bunch of memory.

Reasonably priced with upgradable RAM, I got this mostly for video conferencing and digital publishing work. Priced right with a good display. I thought it was defective when the camera was not detected, but the first troubleshooting advise was to make sure all updates had been done. Although it's a slow process (lots of drivers and such that came up as needing updates), the result was that it worked. And I think the video driver update made the display even crisper. I'm hoping this will last a long time so I made sure the RAM is user upgradable since Windows' future versions will for sure want more and more memory to not run slowly.

The AMD version is better and cheaper than the Intel version. It is affordable and fast. The common complaint and my only complaint is the screen. A small nitpick is that you may have to add more ram or storage to it.

Fantastic value for the money. It runs cool and quickly. The screen is sort of lackluster, but at this price point is better than I'd expect. For the money this is a ridiculously fast and nice computer.

Decent gaming laptop for decent price. I needed a good gaming like laptop but didn’t want to pay a ton. This one hits the sweet spot with price and features

I bought one of these recently and am completely satisfied with the performance at the price point. It works perfectly, screen is nice and bright (but only 60hz,) it holds up very well in games & has decent upgrade options. My two main issues are the fact that it DOES have a second m.2 slot, but it’s disabled so you can’t use it for a secondary nvme pcie drive. Stupid, stupid move Acer. Mind explaining that one? Second, the Ryzen 4600H model does not support XMP profiles so finding sodimm sticks that will actually run at 3200mhz is a pain in the rear. I purchased a 32gb 3200mhz ballistix kit from crucial and the system will only run it at 2666. Overall it’s a fantastic mid-range gaming laptop for the price. Definitely recommend it but I’d like to hear from Acer on the 2nd m.2 slot & 3200mhz ram compatibility issues.

4 stars because it comes with little storage. But it's an awesome laptop. Performs incredibly well and it has played everything we have thrown at it.

Finally decided to get a new laptop, and while researching I found this one. As it had just started shipping, there weren't many reviews, so I took the plunge based on specs and price. And I'm glad I did - performance on this laptop is great. Gaming-wise, I've had no issues running anything at 1080p. Forza 7, Homeworld Remastersed, Planet Coaster, Halo:MCC all run fine and look great. Battery life is good and heat management is decent. It's absolutely a great, great value, and well worth looking at even if you're looking at more expensive machines. That said, there are a few minor things I'm not crazy about. It does have a lot of upgrade capacity (a second RAM slot, 2.5" HDD slot, and a second M.2 slot, but to get to any of them, you've got to pull the whole back off (about 15 screws), and use a pry tool to open it up. I'm not a huge fan of the "buttonless" trackpad, and the trimmed corners are a little irritating on my wrists when typing. They keys themselves, though are great for typing, even if the layout takes some getting used to. None of these detract from the overall great quality and capability of this laptop, though. This thing really punches above it's weight class, and is absolutely deserving of consideration.

I asked my son to give me a list of the things I should look for in a lap top. and the only thing this DOES NOT HAVE is a USB slot! You have to use an adapter. AND you cannot charge this on an airplane! It uses more power than a regular lap top! So you can only charge it in the airport terminal! :) It has a great screen. I use it to go threw wildlife photos and edit them. I do not like the red lighted keyboard. I wish I had got the one where you can change the color of the lights on the keyboard! Red ,,, not so good. White or blue or green would be way better! but all in all a good "deal"

Great laptop for the price, can play triple A titles, I like the red atheistic and light up keyboard, super quick set up and it boots up and is ready in under a minute
